An epic adventure across the land and skies of Hyrule awaits in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game for the Nintendo Switch system. The adventure is yours to create in a world fueled by your imagination.
A: I'll make this answer a general PSA since so many people are asking this: I've been watching this collector's edition closely since it was announced, as so far as I can tell no retailer has been officially given the green light to open pre-orders. Any ebay listing you've seen so far is preliminary in nature to bait people into spending double price in the hopes that they'll be able to nab a copy when in reality no one has these available yet. The 20 second spans of time we see it here as available are most likely due to BestBuy updating the page and the pre-order button inadvertently being made active before it's supposed to. Technological errors happen, case-in-point my wife and I went to a store to buy a dvd, and on both the shelf AND at the register it came up erroneously as $60,696. It took them 2 hours to fix the issue before we could purchase the movie for its correct price. At least we got a good laugh out of it with the employees. The main lesson is: more likely than not this has not been made available yet (Nintendo's official site doesn't even have a listing yet), so just keep your eye on it for now and be patient if you can, and try to resist the urge to resort to the scourge of scalpers.
A: BestBuy releases things like this in waves. Unfortunately, after the first wave is public, every scalper in the universe knows it's happening and you'll never get past them because they use clicking scripts that can add to cart and check out in milliseconds. I spent 4 hours last night constantly refreshing, had it in my cart at least 4 times with all my info pre-saved and checking out in less than 10 seconds, and every time it was removed from my cart because it sold out. Why these sites make no attempt to prevent scalping is beyond me. No excuse for it in 2023.
Q: Has anyone been able to successfully reserve this in the past week or two? (last two weeks of April)
A: Nope. I'm using multiple apps and extensions to add it to cart for the past week. I had about 50 attempts to add item in 1-2 seconds after it's available. It always ask me to reenter password of the account + sms code. And result is either 1. print message "Item Sold out", or 2. button "Pre-Order" disappear from the page, and product not added to the cart, refresh page - it prints "Coming soon" button...
A: Simple answer, if it sells out, it sells for more. Money is money to online retailers. Sad truth, but they would actually have to invest money into better cyber security. They won't unless it hurts them, or user data gets stolen (also hurting their brand). Even then CAPTCHA and reCAPTCHA barely stays ahead of bots. The real solution is to make the Human Challenge/interaction more difficult, and the Bot Challenge more expensive by imbedding hidden Honeypot elements (HTML code) not visible to Human users. That Bots fall victim to. Like fakeout clickable elements (links) that only the bot is scrapping for.. Ooooorr.. just supply more product, so people don't feel incentivized to resell for double. Best case for all of us, just DON'T BUY FROM EBAY resellers, that DON'T have item on hand. The consumers shouldn't have to do the leg work of problem solving an ever extrapolating issue. And so as the market continues to consolidate retailers, speak with your money, say it with your chest, cause money talks.. and for that reason I guess I'll just have to pass. I'm sorry for everyone out there that just wants to enjoy something they love, I hope you get lucky. All we ever do this for is love.
A: Check your local GameStop on release day. Im a employee and have heard that its very likely we will get some in store on release day. GOOD LUCK!
A: Because their system is trash. No other explanation will do. It's like they're trying to make it harder for normal people to get it. When you get in line too it's already too late. It's just a big stressful stupid system.
Q: When will I be able to pre-order the deluxe edition?
A: It's been available for 3 days. but these terrible people known as scalpers take them in a few seconds. I've been looking at several different stores and all I see are angry people spamming the Q&As. and I don't know what the limit is for purchasing these is. but at target, you can buy three at a time. there is no reason people need more than one for resale.
Q: Is there a way for my phone to notify me when totk collectors edition is back in stock?
A: Unfortunately not on Best Buy. The best bet you got is to download Hot Stocks.
