Solid and fun Zelda offshoot meets dungeon crawler
|Posted .This game is pretty cute and amusing, combat is good, nifty hidden homages to previous Zelda games(hit the pillars while waiting for people to join your lobby). Puzzle are pretty good, works well single player wise too. Gathering materials for new costumes is rewarding. Versus mode is really fun, also challenging and rewarding. Really good game and very fun.

Lives up to the Zelda Games but there's an issue
|Posted .Don't get me wrong the game is excellent to play and lives up to the Zelda tradition. The only thing though that I don't like is that the game is designed to be played with multiple people, not really for single player like most traditional Zelda games. The game itself has amazing graphics and a decent single player game mode and the graphics are exactly like The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds so there's no having to used to a different look. It's a good game but I give it a 3 out of 5 due to having a heavy multiplayer influence.

Great way to spend time with siblings
|Posted .I bought 3 copies of this to play with my brother and sister. We each have our own 3ds to play. You can play with one copy through download play if together but now we can play even when were at different places. It is a great game and we have a lot of fun.

A Game That Keeps up with your Intelligence
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendJumping into a new Zelda game with three Links running around can be a little confusing at first, but sticking with it will yield fantastic rewards. The game is a heavily Multiplayer focused top-down adventure game in a bite-sized form. There is the option for Single-player, giving the player control of the remaining Link characters in the form of lifeless dolls. It's a bit odd at first having to manually switch to the correct Link in order to progress with each levels often fast paced puzzle design, but by the end of the first area it will feel a bit more fluid. The problem will come in the later levels, where teamwork and swift motions are key to success but without other players it will prove a challenge even for the most adept Zelda player. This is where multiplayer shines. Having two other friends or even playing with unknown characters online can be an absolute blast. You'll find yourself soaring through even the toughest dungeons as you come to rely upon your partners. The downfall of the experience is the lack of voice chat for communication, as the game provides a list of emotes on the bottom screen. They can never truly get the point out nor allow a truly effective way of communicating with the other players what needs to be done. At the end of each dungeon level the players will be rewarded with a piece of loot that can be used to create new outfits for Link to wear. Each outfit gives Link new abilities or enhances previous ones like the Kokiri suit. This Robin Hood-esque outfit allows Link to fire three arrows in different directions while using the Arrow tool given at the beginning of each level. This adds an extra level of replay value to the levels, as only one Link will be lucky enough to get the rare item after crawling through a tough Dungeon through the snowy mountains. After completing a dungeon, which consists of 5 levels that contain 5 areas each, the player will unlock the option to play through the dungeon's challenges. This adds difficulty like "complete the level with less hearts" or "finish within the time limit" that will keep the player coming back for even more rare items to build even better outfits. There is also a Coliseum mode that players can go head-to-head with another player using their best outfits. Or they can choose to team and take on a gauntlet of the toughest enemies the game has to offer while still giving a reward at the end. The game is a blast to play to the very end. It will lack the fun and charm if played only through single player. Given the chance the multiplayer could be the best experience by far on the 3DS handheld thus far. It's great for the Zelda hardcore fans and newcomers alike.

Fun game best played with friends
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friend'Triforce Heroes' clearly was designed as a multiplayer-first game, but what I love is that they didn't forget the faction of fans who want to (or can only) play alone. The game's backstory is just silly, but this wasn't meant to be the next 'A Link to the Past' or 'Ocarina of Time'. The focus of the game was the gameplay itself. Having played both single player and online multiplayer, I found multiplayer to be much more enjoyable. The caveat is that I personally enjoy playing with friends and family and am not enamored with the idea of playing with someone I don't know. That's why when I found out that for multiplayer you HAVE to play with two other people (you can't fill in a spot with a computer controlled character) I was a little less than thrilled. Overall the game is good. You're not going to get a great epic adventure, but you will get a fun game best enjoyed with others.

an enjoyable romp playing solo, locally, or online
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendTriforce Heroes is a great game best enjoyed with others, though it may be a surprise to many that the game is even more challenging when completing levels (especially challenge scenarios) on your own. The hook of the game is simple: play solo or with 3 other people (locally or online; if locally, only 1 copy of the game is needed, which is GREAT), beating dungeons that take about 15 minutes to complete. There are 8 worlds, each with 4 levels, for a total of 32 stages. Complete each stage, earning rubies along the way, and at the end of the stage you're rewarded with materials that can be used to make new outfits that give you status bonuses (more hearts, weapon boost, more energy, etc.). The puzzles within the levels are fun and clever, and while the first world is a bit of a cake walk for veteran players, the levels do become increasingly challenging. Online play can can be a mixed bag, with disconnects, log, and connectivity issues, but overall I've found the experience tends to be both surprisingly solid and fun, especially when attempting one of the thirty-two levels with a Drabland challenge active. I've had minor issues with lag and players dropping (for whatever reason), and while communication is limited to a preset list of commands, the system Nintendo put in place works well enough with the mechanics of the game to not make it a hindrance when playing with strangers. Where the title really falls short is if you'd like to play with only two people, you can't. This is something that could be addressed with a patch down the road, but right now, it's either a solo or trio adventure, which is a downer for couples looking to play together. Still, it's an enjoyable game that gives players a reason to replay levels over and over again, even if it's for just 15 minutes at a time.
