This action comedy co-written by Terry Gilliam and Tony Grisoni tells the story of jaded film director Toby (Adam Driver) who confuses present day with the past after finding a bootleg copy of a film he made about Don Quixote, as a student. In this film, he recruited a Spanish cobbler (Jonathan Pryce) to play the main role, though this same man now believes Toby is his loyal sidekick Sancho Panza adding to the confusion between film, film characters and real life. Directed by Terry Gilliam.~Clare Perez-Izaguirre Lopez
Five behind-the-scenes featurettes with the cast and crew
Good role for Adam Driver though Jonathan Pryce steals the scenes
as Quixote and gives the movie 4 stars. One problem is that there are no English subtitles but the Spanish subtitles are good and easy to follow for Spanish students.
I would recommend this to a friend
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Long Wait - Slow Release
Seemed like Hollywood waited forever to release this much anticipated film. Frankly I expected so much out of the film, that I was less than excited about the results. Good movie but does not meet it's hype. Glad I purchased but will not get a second watch.
I love Terry Gilliam movies, but this one took a little long to start flowing. It's not bad, it's just kinda there. I say this as huge fan of both Gilliam and Adam Driver. I wish there had been more to it I guess.
I'm writing this review to get 25 points for the writing of a review! The movie was great, I liked it a lot. If you like Terry Gilliam, I suggest you check this out. If you hate Terry Gilliam, I suggest you do not check this out. It's that simple!
