Critically Acclaimed Debut is a Must Buy!

Mentioned as one of the top releases of 2014, with great reviews from the likes of AltPress, HMMagazine, MetalHammer, Revolver Magazine. This is an outstanding album with a truly epic feeling throughout. What sets Silent Planet apart from other "metalcore" bands, is the underlying current of emotion lurking just underneath the surface. Musically, these guys are far more then a "core" band. Mixing powerful riffs, melodic under tones, with technical shredding--even songs without traditional break downs--rise far above most other bands. SP has a style that subliminally draws you in. Each listen is rewarded with an even more powerful connection with the music. Bassist Thomas Freckleton and drummer Alex Camarena are perfection. Guitarists Mitchell Stark, Igor Efimov, and guitarist/writer Spencer Keene walk a cohesive tight rope between earth shattering riffs and progressive/technical melodies--draped over a near symphony quality layer--the album feels like a movie soundtrack or concept album--but it's not. Testament to the composition of Keene and Russell. Lyrically, Garrett Russell is this generation and genre's Jim Morrison. Poetic, brutal yet filled with hope, Russell takes the listener to dark places in history/current events (that most have never heard about--while citing reference material in support of the lyrical content). Russell masterfully takes the darkness and exposes it to the ultimate light-- Moreover, his delivery and articulation, placing key emphasis at the precise perfect moment, connects with the listener on a masterful level. You will love this album if you listen to rock, metal, or indie music--regardless of whether you're Christian. This is truly a cross over album in every sense of the phrase. A must have! Buy it!

This album had great songwriting while still having the heaviness of a metalcore album. The features on songs make it exceptionally good
