The Notorious Daughter of Fanny Hill/Head Mistress [DVD]

This lascivious double bill from producer David F. Friedman is given a courtly transfer from Something Weird Video. Both prints are without major flaws and are presented in full frame (non-anamorphic). The soundtracks are Dolby Digital Mono. There is a commentary track by producer Friedman for both films, and each is a treasure house of information. As with most DVDs from this company, the features are ample and interesting. There are trailers for both features as well as for Brand of Shame, The Fabulous Bastard from Chicago, Fanny Hills Meets Dr. Erotico, Fanny Hill Meets Lady Chatterly, Fanny Hill Meets the Red Baron, and The Lustful Turk. There are two short films featuring the star of Notorious Daughter, Stacey Walker -- "But Charlie, I Never Played Volleyball," a nine-minute "documentary" on the Miss Nude Universe of 1966 pageant, and "Stacey Walker, Dreamgirl" which is actually a six-and-a-half minute excerpt from another Friedman classic, A Smell of Honey, A Swallow of Brine. Also included on the disc is a five-and-a-half minute videotaped record of Something Weird's Tom Varney being let into the film storage locker of Friedman. For fans of exploitation, this is a historical event worthy of recording! The disc is completed with a seven-minute animated gallery of exploitation art from Friedman films, featuring radio-spot rarities. A thoroughly entertaining package from start to finish.
