The Office: Season Six [DVD]

This is still the same show - if you liked it before, you'll still like this. If you didn't, this probably wont change your mind. The humor hasn't changed much in its nature, but they still find new jokes to tell so the show still feels fresh and new. The intros to each episode I think were better this season than any previous season. The Blu-Ray plays without a problem once you get it loaded, although load time is a little longer than other blu-rays. Features also include access to online streaming of season 7 episodes. In general, Blu-Ray for shows doesn't have a huge picture/sound quality difference from DVD, but in this case the difference was appreciable. The picture especially was much improved - far crisper image.

Show is great, but some of the Blu Ray discs are defective. I first encountered skipping/freezing then going back to main menu with disc 1 at the beginning of the Niagara episode. Then it happened again on disc 4 in the New Leads episode, about 15 minutes in where Dwight and Michael are at the landfill. I exchanged the set for another one. All the discs work fine except for disc 4, same episode, same place. The store associate says I can keep exchanging until I am satisfied....but what a hassle. Does Universal even acknowledge the defective discs? I have searched the web in different forums and found that I am not the only one with the same issue(s). Great show, but be prepared if you encounter the defective disc(s).

I love The Office and I couldn't wait to get my hands on Season 6. Definitely worth the wait. Picture and audio quality is spectacular. Love the extra features such as the bloopers. Disc 1 can even stream Season 7 over the net! I have all my Office needs now. All of the features work on a PS3, even the streaming. Extras can ALSO be downloaded on your iPhone/iPod Touch and maybe even the iPad. I use my iPhone as a remote for it for FREE! There's an app for it. I highly recommend if you love The Office. 'Nuff said!

At times it feels like this should be the final season, but still leaves room for more. Funny and poignant still. Hope this series goes out on top.

Everyone loves the Office and to get it at such a great price was the best!

The video skips... the audio is just fine. This happened on two copies of this blu-ray. Tested the player with shutter island afterward and it ran just fine. Returning it tomorrow, much to my chagrin.
