Wesley (Danny Murphy) is a young deaf boy who lives in a loving home with his mother (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and younger sister. However, due to his condition, he is constantly bullied at school. On a cold day, Wesley finds an unconscious, bleeding man (Aaron Paul) and brings him into an abandoned barn close to his home. They develop a friendly relationship as the man teaches him to stand up against bullies. However, after police forces increase in the town, Wesley discovers he may not be able to protect his new friend. Directed by Christopher Cantwell and written by Darren Lemke.
Very good heart-wrenching story about a deaf boy trying to understand manhood from the only two examples to end up in his life. While the rest of the cast is great, the main boy is incredible, especially because the entire weight of the film rests on him.
My wife and I were able to see this movie in our local movie theater and were happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and really enjoyed watching it and we are looking forward to watching it as often as we want.
