Features
The new limited-edition collection of the classic Phantasm films includes all five full-length features - Phantasm / Phantasm II / Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead / Phantasm IV: Oblivion / Phantasm V: Ravager, a bonus disc and a scale-replica of the Phantasm sphere. This sphere was sized to the exact measurements of a screen-used prop in Don Coscarelli's personal collection. The Phantasm Sphere Collection also debuts a new 4k scan from the original camera negative of Phantasm II. For the first time ever, this new transfer of Don Coscarelli's director's cut includes the never-before-seen X-rated sphere/gore sequence banned by the MPAA at the time of it's theatrical release. Coscarelli supervised and approved this new transfer. Experience this collection like never before. This set also includes the sphere blades, base, pod holder and disc case/flip book inside.
Special Features include just some of the following: New 7.1 Dolby Atmos, audio commentaries and interviews featuring the director, cast and crew, many special featurettes, flashback footage, deleted scenes, additional scenes, behind the scenes, promo, trailers, bloopers, outtakes, documentaries and more

Phantasm Blu-ray collection
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Outstanding collection of all 5 movies! Each movie has bonus material relevant to that particular movie, plus there's another disc of overall bonus matetial-all ckntained in a beautiful sleevecase booklet that features original artwork and vintage photos. The collectible sphere is an exact-size replica of the original prop and is simple to assemble; it even comes with a neat little stand. Everything is contained in a nice box that's full of original artwork too, making it collectible as well. The only cons are: (1) the contents are tightly packed and just a bit difficult to remove, and (2) the booklet could be bound better (mine came apart). But for all you get, THIS is the collection of the franchise to have.

The definitive set!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At this point, if you are lucky enough to find one, buy it! The bonus features are actually interesting. I was close to giving it 4 stars only because the sphere itself is not perfect. The seamline is easily visible where they did whatever they did to try to hide it. It almost appears as a flat band around the entire sphere. But since I'm not even displaying mine, I'm good with it. I Just wanted the discs!

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well Go USA Entertainment releases all 5 Phantasm films in one set, looking superb in HD, a definite upgrade from the various previous DVD releases. The first and third films from(now defunct) Anchor Bay in 2007, the fourth originally from MGM, then years later again from Anchor Bay, while the second one was from Universal in 2009, then from Scream Factory in 2013, while the fifth one is exclusively Well Go. All previous extras are ported over here, plus many new ones. Exclusively to this set is a replica of a silver sphere used in all five films, coming in a medium size box, with clear plastic window on front, with stand and two blades beneath, with the slits to insert them. The box is opened from the top, where you will see an image of the '71 Barracuda muscle car. You'll have to lift the whole thing out to get to the Blu-ray case, which is on the bottom, but nicely packaged in embossed sleeves, with a bonus disc included with a bunch of other features. Spanning the years 1979-2016, these five films(starring Reggie Bannister, Michael Baldwin, Bill Thornbury, and Angus Scrimm as the Tall Man) were significant cult favorites, particularly the first, telling one long story that may or not be really happening, or multiple timelines at work? Created and directed(except the last, which he oversaw) by Don Coscarelli, fans, or "Phans" will certainly want this unique package.

Q: QuestionWhere is the Phantasm II (Director's Cut) never-before-seen X-rated sphere/gore sequence ? It's not in my set. Is it the scene with the sphere in the bonus material labeled: Additional scenes from the original work print cut ?
Asked by markt.
- A:Answer The additional footage is actually in the film where the first sentinel sphere hits the priest in the head. It is Incorporated so you would never know it was initially cut out. There are a couple of additional pieces when the tall man meets his demise but the main scene to look out for is the priest versus the sentinel sphere in the mortuary hallway

Q: QuestionDoes anybody know where the "Director's Cut" version of Phantasm II is ? My set appears not to have one. I very recently purchased the Phantasm Sphere Collection. Where is the Phantasm II (Director's Cut) never-before-seen X-rated sphere/gore sequence ?
Asked by markt.
- A:Answer Hi Markt, I am a long time fan of the Phantasm series and I also purchased this set. The disc for Phantasm II is the actual Director’s Cut version of the film as it contains the never before extended sphere scene that includes the Priest. It is only a few seconds of extra gore coming from the sphere that was omitted in earlier cuts of the film. I hope this helped answered your question. Enjoy the set!

Q: QuestionDoes this box set include codes for digital downloads of the blu-rays?
Asked by Cuda.
- A:Answer No I don't recall seeing one, but the sphere is metal. Great set, with bonus disc. Same as the limited well go set with extra bonus content.
