The Pretender by Jackson Browne was released in November 1976. It was his first album after the suicide death of his first wife Phyllis Major in March 1976, and the album reflects on him coping with this tragedy. Several songs are tributes to his late wife, like Here Come Those Tears Again co-written by Major's mother), and The Fuse. The album is short, at only 35 minutes, but it's perfect at getting it's point across. Much recommended.
