In an isolated rural community, a young woman named Grace (Charlotte Kirk) reels in the wake of her husband Joseph's (Joe Anderson) death as he unexpectedly took his own life. Facing the unwanted advances of her crooked landlord, the grieving Grace rebukes him, only to find herself thrust into vehement accusations of witchcraft by the spurned man. Yet what her neighbors do not know is just how far she will go to seek justice. Directed by Neil Marshall. Co-starring Steven Waddington, Sean Pertwee, and Ian Whyte.~Maggie Sadler
Very good and very bloody at times! You can't help but sympathize with the main character and her baseless persecution by narrow minded, hateful individuals who say that she MUST be a witch. No spoilers but I really enjoyed it!
This movie is really good, I expected a half way decent movie. This movie is very good, really good story and special effects. I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who likes movies that take place in the 1600's or later than that.
