Roger Avary's adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' The Rules of Attraction comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by many of the actors and crew members, an episode of Anatomy of a Scene from Sundance, and a preview of Avary's next film Glitterati (also an Ellis adaptation). This is a solid release from Lion's Gate that will satisfy those who found much to admire in Avary's hyperstylized film.

This is an experience. Exploring the craziness and confusion all occurring in a college that is just as delusional as its characters. This is the 2nd best film based on a Bret Easton Ellis novel; the first for me being American Psycho. You need to get this!
Based on Bret Easton Ellis' book of the same name, it closely follows the book. Great dialogue, wild story about a bunch of students at a small college on the East Coast who are involved in lots of fornicating, drinking and drugs. The iconic scene involving "Victor" and his trip to Europe makes the whole movie worth watching. Ending will leave you wanting more.

Difficult, but very good movie
Very good film with some surprising performances (especially that of James Vanderbeek of Dawson's Creek fame).
If you are offended/bothered by certain R-rated content (drug use, profanity, etc.) I would not recommend you buy this blu ray.
