    Synopsis

Solve a string of serial murders as a member of the "Republic," a special forces unit in The Silver Case for PlayStation 4. This limited-edition release is set in the "24 Wards" in 1999 and offers players various puzzles to help solve a classic whodunit. The Silver Case arrives with an art book, comic and new soundtrack.

    Features

Before No More Heroes and Killer7, Suda51 created a unique crime drama for the original PlayStation console with his new company, Grasshopper Manufacture. That game is now coming to the west completely remastered for the PlayStation 4

Complete a haunting crime investigation from two distinct perspectives: a journalist covering the story and the new investigator desperately trying to catch a killer

In 1999, taking place before the Y2K meltdown, the detectives of the Heinous Crimes Unit are met with grim and sinister cases all seeming to surround one mysterious entity known as Kamui

Keep your eyes peeled, and ears open, or you just might miss out on an important clue

There's nothing else quite like The Silver Case. It's a first person murder mystery police thriller that plays out with flying frames and an art style that recalls the best procedural police dramas of Japanese television and cinema. Far from being held back by its gaming origins on the PlayStation 1 this unique gem that never made it to the west delivers a thoughtful but intense experience that you won't find anywhere else today. You'll need patience to slow down and play at its speed but the rewards are worth it.

This isn't really much of a video game, it's more of a visual novel, and it's a relatively dated one since this was originally on the Playstation 1. The reason this is a big deal for Suda 51 fans is because it's the first time to get released outside of Japan. If you're a fan of Suda 51's bizarre games, especially his work on earlier titles like Flower, Sun & Rain and Killer 7, then you'll probably enjoy this game. Just know that it won't be everyone's cup of tea.

Really weird one. If you love Visual Novels you might love this crime drama type. If you love you Anime Girls looking like underage bunnies then you need help and this is most def. not for you. Get it cheap since there is not a lot of gameplay here. Support Physical Media yo!

Well, this certainly is a SUDA51 game. Very interesting presentation, very noir like. Both The "TRANSMITTER" and "PLACEBO" chapters are very engaging giving you different perspectives from different characters. Considering this a PS4 remake of a PS1 game, don't expect the graphics to wow you, its the gameplay that shines!

This is a game for very mature tastes and is similar to the old school point and click adventures. Very dark and quirky story that is familiar ground for fans of creator Suda51 as well as anyone who enjoys dark cyber noir.

This game is a lot of reading and playing segments where you are moving and finding clues. Very engrossing story draws you in and it is enjoyable to play something different.

I've never played the original and am glad that this remaster got released. Some of the puzzles may require a guide, more due to the lack of clarity. Overall a good experience.
