Simpons on blu-ray, need I say more?

I've been a fan of the Simpsons for years and this is like the ultimate Simpsons episode. The Simpsons in blu-ray is just amazing. Great picture, excellent sound, and many cool features. I will caution blu-ray owners about this one possible issue though.....I'm not sure if this is just on the blu-ray format or if it's on all media, but don't bother trying to adjust your TV's ratio setting when you notice everything showing in a square picture frame with the black borders all around as if in full screen mode. Yes it does say "widescreen" in the description on the box, but when that full screen look comes up you may find yourself trying to make sure everything is setup properly like I did for about 5 - 6 minutes before just giving up and letting it play. Calm down, once the doc flies by and says "on the big screen" during the title, the screen pans out to the widescreen mode (I'm sure as part of Matt's little joke) and everything is gravy from then on out. If you're a fan of the Simpsons, you have to get this movie.

I've been a fanatical Simpsons fan since they were only presented as short animated skits before and after the commercial breaks on The Tracy Ullman Show (God, that was a LOT of years back!). I saw the first Simpsons Christmas special before the series began and have watched the series loyally for decades. I thought the movie wore itself a little thin by the end. I liked it, but was expecting to LOVE it more than the TV show. I didn't think they raised the bar enough. To me, it was like a two hour TV episode. Now, I love the show, but I was hoping this would be on an entirely new level and, honestly, of they broke this up and aired it as three or four "To be continued..." episodes, I wouldn't have noticed the difference. If you are a Simpsons fan, though, it is something that you should see at least once.

I have been watching the simpsons my ENTIRE life and all I have to say about the movie is "wow". It was by far the best comedy of the 2007 summer. I currently own all of the seasons of the simpsons on DVD and when I saw that the movie was coming out on Blue ray, I couldn't have been more excited. This has to be one of the funniest movies ever. It kept the classic simpson style thought the entire feature and it was just overall fantastic. I went and saw the midnight release and it was packed full which goes to show just how funny the Simpsons really are. It is my favorite show and the movie is one of the best movies of all time. Get this movie!!!

As a Simpson’s fan since the show premiered December 1989 (I have never seen all the Tracy Ulman episodes) And, yes I did spell her last name wrong. Sorry Enjoyed the film-several real funny scenes. Rock & A Hard Place, ads. “Excellent”. Now, for the lame DVD package. What is the deal with that THIN paper insert that tears because it is on SO THIN paper. MOSTLY ads & NO CHAPTER LIST. Guess this is supposed to keep Simpson’s fans happy until the 11 season is released on DVD. NOT a heck of a lot of info on the DVD package. Just plain boring extras or LACK or badly designed extras. Obviously based on viewing the film on DVD review.

I have to admit the movie is pretty good but the story could have been better.By now you should know about Spider-pig,Harry Plopper whatever.Anyway after Homer fills up a pig silo he has in the backyard he takes the silo and dumps it in Springfield Lake.Later the EPA shows up and covers the whole town under a big bubble. And the Simpsons move to Alaska cause the whole town wants to kill Homer. But eventually he saves the town with the help of his son Bart.It took 20 years to come up with a 90 min movie Thanks FOX.Don't wait to late to make Family Guy and not the one about Stewie. P.S. Good movie but could have been better.

The simpsons movie is one of the greatest movie of all time. The show has been on for a very long time , and they did a very great job on this movie. the graphics were outstanding, the voices were great too. There are alot of funny parts in this movie, I know this is an animated movie but the acting was really cool for being animated, and the plot was great to , everything made alot of sense. I would highly recomend this movie to all simpsons fans and people that havent heard of the simpsons, because once you see this movie you will be hooked on the simpsons.

      Better than expected

I expected from this movie as all of my childhood cartoon favorites that then go and release a movie do: Ruined characters appear over a lousy plot that doesn't fit the style of the show, tarnishing the reputation of the classic. So far in my lifetime I've found two exceptions. The South Park Movie and The Simpsons Movie. Yes, moments of this film seem a little corny, but there has always been a bit of a hokey "family value" underlying each episode in the show's history. Overall a funny movie with a bunch of one liners fit for the whole family.
