Loving it!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendFor a Sim game, it has been perfect so far. I have seen on the forums that some people have been experiencing bugs, but I guess I'm one of the lucky few that are not. The pets have worked flawlessly in the environments so far with no lag or spikes. My game is actually running better after the pets installation then it did before. I think that is due to the new neighborhood being done so well. The new neighborhood seems to be free of all the pathing issues that previous neighborhoods began to suffer after Riverview. The neighborhood is incredibly detailed with strange abandoned shops that serve no purpose other then immersion into the environment. The attention to detail is really refreshing considering the last few Sim neighborhoods have looked about as thought out as a 15 year old wet dream. A personal favorite, the criminal career place of business is literally an abandoned warehouse tucked away in the mountains, all rusted and falling down on top of itself with some entertaining ambiances. Just for our pleasure there is a small 'hanging tree' park above the graveyard as well. The neighborhood is loosely western themed, just enough to be different and enjoyable, but not overdone. It's like visiting the black hills of South Dakota. The sim team put a lot of effort into stylizing the homes. The Lionheart house looks creeper than any home I've seen in the Sims 3 yet. The development team really paid a lot of attention to detail in this neighborhood, and it is about time they did. I was so dissatisfied with the direction the Sims 3 had taken, and the quality of expansions, that I almost did not preorder this game. I'm really glad I did because it puts the Sims 3 back on track. Horses, cats, and dogs get traits much like sims do. They don't have lifetime wishes, but you can teach them more traits through positive and negative reinforcement, as well as a variety of USEFUL tricks. They are also directly controllable by the player. They are part of the family and show up on a secondary bar next to your household sims. There are a ton of other pets to choose from, they simply don't have traits, but they can still guard and perform useful requests for your sims. You can adopt animals from the animal shelter, other sims, or the world around you. Rare pets that cannot be purchased but must be befriended like falcons and komodo lizards roam all through the neighborhood. As well as various rare snakes, turtles, and rodents (hedgehog!). There is a unicorn as well, but I have not seen it yet :( however, there is a lifetime wish for befriending a unicorn so I know it exists! lol Overall, for what it is as a sim game, I would definitely recommend this expansion. I have not had this much fun with the game, or been this happy with how the neighborhoods have played, since Sims 3 was released.

The best version
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendWhile the Xbox version may have spoken commands, This version is the best. It does have minor flaws, some dogs stretch out.. IDK why.. But either way, I would rent those other versions, but totally buy this one.. I bought the Origin version.. I had some trouble getting the limited edition stuff, since the servers were overloaded.. But back to the game, it's a solid EP. Worth the money, it's really cool to ride around town on horses.. Thankfully you don't dismount when going up hill like you put away strollers when walking your kids around.. I look forward to a Seasons pack.. I totally want weather in TS3.. pc452000 is my sims3 profile.. As far as the core gameplay goes, I think it limits the amount of pets to the household like it does for sims.. I was hoping to have 8 sims 4 pets.. NOPE.. I have a couple who just started out, I have yet to move them to a 64x64 lot.. they need it.. I use Nraas Master controller to modify the game, in a good way..

Horses!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendFinally, there are horses! Sims can yet again own pets, but this time, there are also horses. You can play from the point of view of the horse, cat, and dog. The Sim-pet interaction is really well done, and very fun to play with! Sims are able to enforce and discourage good and bad behaviour. Even if you adopt a pet with less than desirable personality traits, your Sim can still train a good pet. This is definitely my favorite expansion thus far!!

Tons of fun!
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis game is very fun to play. There are endless combinations to make your pet as unique as your sim and you can ride the horses through town and even train them to race. My only complaint with the game is that it does crash from time to time, I am sure that EA will patch it soon though. Overall I would recommend this game.

Brand New Game.....Same EA Issues
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI own All of the Sim 3 expansion games (i.e. World Adventures, Late Night, Ambitions, High End Loft and Generations). These games work fine on my computer and the graphic card was not an issue. Now EA ALWAYS has game patches that are needed to allow the game to work properly. The Sims Pets is the first game that DID NOT work on my computer! The Sims (people) in the game were perfectly....the pets not so much. The graphically damaged pets looked like something out of a horror movie! EA is working on a patch to fix the problem BUT after spending 40 dollars on this game, I am disappointed it only sits on my shelf waiting for a patch! So beautiful graphics, fun game...BUT KNOW YOUR COMPUTER AND MAKE SURE IT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THIS GAME BEFORE YOU BUY IT!

A great addition to the Sims 3
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendDespite the difficulty of getting the expansion packs to work together, this expansion adds a variety of pets for your sims to own and care for. A must have for lovers of the Sims series.
