The acting is not great... some of the characters are really, REALLY cringy... the side plots are obnoxious... and the effects are pretty mediocre. (Although, the sinking scene actually is done quite well.) But I knew all of that already. It's a made-for-TV miniseries, and I'd seen it before. I'm a big fan of all things Titanic, and just bought this to add to the collection. The price was absolutely right, (like, $6) so why not? I will say that the film does include quite a few little historical nuggets of the disaster that the 1997 blockbuster leaves out, so history buffs will appreciate that. Plus, it's hilarious to me to watch Sandy Cohen from "The OC" on board the famous ship. Sandy, how did you time-travel to 1912?! The man can do anything!

Can't hold a candle to Cameron's version and just a half hour shorter. Has a fair number of factual errors off set by Zeta-Jones and Scott's acting. So I watched it once and will watch Cameron's version rather than this one in the future.
