When I saw previews for this show my first reaction was, "Another vampire show?" I also thought, "It's basically Twilight." Even after watching the first episode I was convinced it was Twilight in TV form with a few minor adjustments. I then sat down to watch the second episode in hopes of being able to make fun of it some more, but instead found myself liking it. After finishing the entire episode I now know it's a far cry from the Twilight franchise. It doesn't only deal with Vampires, but also witches as well, which I love.
Damon is definetly my favourite character, and of course it helps that he's gorgeous.
The acting is surprisingly good, and the episodes get better and better as the show goes on, which is definetly a good thing. I'm really excited about the second season and am really hoping that it doesn't pull an O.C. and suck.
This is by far one of my favourite TV shows and more people should watch it. Just because it came out last out of all the Vampire stuff doesn't mean it's any less good. Plus the books have been around for a while (though I haven't read them and have heard that they are very different from the TV show).
Also, this show gets really REALLY good around episode 15. It's good through out the entire series, but I didn't get super crazy about it til then.
Btw, TEAM DAMON. Hahah.
