    Synopsis

    The Warrior's Way
Asian samurai Yang (Korean superstar Jang Dong-gun) has a change of heart after slaughtering his enemy's family, and spares a newborn child. On the run from his master, he heads to America, where he finds a beat-down town that is home to freaks, circus performers, an old drunk (Geoffrey Rush), and a knife-thrower (Kate Bosworth). This spunky love interest soon becomes the student, with the wandering warrior passing along his knowledge so that she can enact revenge against scarred scumbag The Colonel (Danny Huston). As the master tracks the sound of the warrior's sword (literally), the samurai makes one final stand with the town to thwart The Colonel and his gang before they burn it all down. Soon enough, cowboys and ninjas meet in a duel to the death -- guns vs. katanas. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

This film has action and very different look done in a similar manner as the movie 300 with partial sets with green screen in background. My wife and I liked it very much.I think this is one of those films that the cable will play over and over and become a cult type film. On the artwork on dvd case it looks like it is a samaria japanese film but then you notice all the american actors. This is one of those movies were you see the star do several cool things that you want to see that again and skip back to that point. On most sites they give this film 4 out of 5 stars by many people that has seen it. Its hard to describe this movie because it in many ways is very different. Do not try to take this film too serious and you will enjoy it. It has a near comic book dark adult look to it. I loved it and it is very much the type of film I will watch again. This is about a man that is the very best in world at what he does with his blade but again it is not intended to be serious just entertaining.

The Warrior's way is one of those movies that while I enjoyed it, it would be hard to recommend to most people. Unless you are a fan of both western and martial arts genres, I couldn't really see one enjoying this flick. Each of the three main actors(Dong-Gun, Bosworth, and Rush) all play their parts well, but they never quite fully excelled in their rolls. I enjoyed the blend of genres and thought for the most part, each was given due respect in a semi silly way. The video and audio quality are both a solid 4/5. Extras are very limited here so don't expect a lot of behind the scenes action. For those who are fans of the 2 genres mentioned above give it a try. If you are not, this film is not for you.

I wasn't sure about getting this movie but it was good for the price. It is dark and reminds me of 300. Not sure if I would recommend it to a friend unless they are into dark, cult, martial art movies. Still it was entertaining enough to watch all the way through. I don't regret buying it but may not have if I had rented it first.

I don't write reviews often but this was not very good. It is ok to see once for the special effects, etc but I would NEVER buy it!! Poor story line and bad acting. The story line is unique, I'll give it that! :)

As a big Martial Arts fan, this film left me feeling confused with a lot of unanswered questions. Visually cool, acting alright, but the story was sub-par.

Entertaining "Spaghetti Western" type. Always enjoyed Geoffrey Rush. Good way to get out of reality for awhile.
