Surprisingly good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After watching reviews of this game I wasn't sure it was for me. I ended up getting it when the price dropped to about $16. It ended up being a very fun game that kept me occupied for a couple of weeks. It probably took me 15-20 hours to play all the way through. This involved playing levels multiple times, either because it was hard and I died a bunch of times or to look for hidden items. I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS WHEN I WROTE THIS REVIEW SO I'M ADDING NOW. CHOOSE "STANDING" WHEN SETTING UP YOUR PLAYTHROUGH EVEN IF YOU'RE SITTING. I RAN INTO PROBLEMS WHEN I FIRST PLAYED WHERE I COULDN'T REACH DOWN TO TOUCH A GLYPH OR PUT A KEYSTONE IN MY POCKET BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO LOW TO REACH. LOWERING HEIGHT TO IT'S LOWEST LEVEL STILL WASN'T LOW ENOUGH TO PUT THE KEY IN MY POCKET. CHOOSING "STANDING" FIXED THIS PROBLEM FOR ME. The story isn't great... it's more like an arcade game where you're trying to get a high score, so the replayability is pretty high. The characters are you, there's a wizard that narrates as you go along and there's a bad guy that pops up a few times. The graphics are great, comparable to Skyrim, but you're blocked from exploring beyond the beaten path. The real fun is in use of the Move Controllers. This game makes maybe the most creative use of them of any PSVR game I've played. You have to use hand motions to cast your spells. One or two spells are a little difficult but it's not hard to get them down. The challenge is being able to remember the motions in the heat of battle. You can collect special gems while exploring or by earning points that can be used to upgrade the spells. This usually leads to replaying levels. You also collect hidden cards which can be used to buff or debuff the enemies, which in turn will increase or lower your score at the end of a stage. My most used spells were probably the fireballs and the shield. While some VR games make throwing things almost impossible I found throwing fireballs to be quite easy, just make sure to follow through, ending with your hand out in front of you. There's a pretty good variety of enemies for a game with only 3 levels. Levels are divided into multiple stages. There are 2 boss battles but I was a little disappointed with the final one because I thought it was too easy... the first boss was much more enjoyable. I'm disappointed with the lack of physical releases of PSVR games and I usually buy new ones right when they come out. Sometimes I'll pass when I see a game I think I won't like. Then I'll buy them later when I don't have other games to play and I end up really liking them. The Wizards is a great example of this. Well worth it to me, especially since I'll be able to play it again later and still enjoy it.

Fun VR Game of Magic
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An excellent VR game and probably the best magic VR game we've ever played. The game runs smoothly and it is quite immersive. Wish it was a little longer and had more spells to learn. However, for the price, it is fully worth.

Fun Game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The graphics are good. The controls are ok; it can be hard to aim without turning the auto aim very high. It is fun for what it is and as long as you get it for a low price.
