Better than it's reputation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.X Factor and Vurtual XI get a lot of hate from people since they don't have Bruce Dickinson. Well, X Factor is, in my opinion, better than the previous 2 albums Maiden had put out at the time and those 2 albums had Dickinson. Blaze really doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Sure, he's not as good as Bruce (or even Paul Di'Anno), but who is? Those are some mightly big shoes to fill, and I'd say Blaze does his best and really worked well with the band. Part of the blame could also go to the rest of the band since the songwriting had taken a slightly downward turn since Seventh Son. X Factor has some very good Maiden tunes icluding the epic "Sign of the Cross," and one of my all time favorites "Lord of the Flies."
