Customers commend the G3 Premium Handheld Percussive Massage Device for its power, battery life, and variety of attachments. They find it effective in relieving pain and easy to use. However, some users express concerns about its loudness, weight, and price.
I typically work out 3-5 days a week either in my home gym with free weights or the occasional run. This device provides just the right amount of power and punch to beat my sore muscles into submission. Before this unit I would typically foam roll, tennis ball, icey hot, you name it. This may not completely replace those methods but packs a quick and easy punch to get the job done.

I struggle with pain on a daily basis. About 20 years ago, I had to have two ACL reconstruction completed on my left knee in a matter of a year and a half. The repair made it possible for me to have use of my leg again, but it also left me with some extensive scar tissue that ends up causing me pain every day. I’ve been through physical therapy and numerous doctors’ exams to find out that the pain is being caused by arthritis. The best thing doctors can do for me is prescribe various medications, but I have found that I actually get better results with massage therapy. The only problem is that masseuses are pricey and I need something that can work for me at home, too. The Theragun handheld massage device is a great option for my needs. I have actually tried another percussive massager so I knew that Theragun was going to work for me. The first thing I noticed was the shape of the Theragun. It has a unique triangular handle that works really well if you need to use the device solo. I found that I can hold onto it easily and be able to hit areas of my back that I can’t with other similar devices. The Theragun is a bit noisy, but because it helps my leg pain so much, I’m willing to overlook the noise. There are only two speeds -- Theragun signature speed and the sensitive area speed. I actually found the sensitive area speed to be great for most treatments and I only used the more intense speed when I was in particularly bad pain. Theragun includes four interchangeable heads. They are easy to install or remove from the device. I was really happy to find that the device is rechargeable. It unfortunately does not charge using a USB-style cable. That would be great because that would mean it would be one less cable I would need to carry with me when I travel. Out of the box, the device didn’t have much of a charge, but it recharged pretty quickly. I did download the app so that I had access to the full manual and tips on the best way to use the Theragun on different parts of the body. I really like the travel case that comes with the device. It is heavy-duty and has an easy to carry handle. Plus it’s large enough to store its charger and attachments in. I’ve been really happy with how well the massager has been working for me and what it means for my overall health.

The Theragun G3 is an amazing percussive massaging device. This is the first one that I have owned and I am really enjoying it for the short time that I have had it. First you should download the Theragun app to read about the device and how to use it. The app is pretty detailed and will tell you how to apply, for how long, which tip to use and will also give you some pro tips such as staying hydrated and how to reach certain parts of the body. The angled body of the Theragun G3 allows you to reach up to 90% of your body yourself, which is handy if you don’t have someone to help you. Included in the box is a hard shell foam fitted carrying case, charger, and three additional heads to use. Advertised running time is 60 minutes and so far I have used it about 15 times at about a minute each time. I am mainly targeting my right shoulder area. I was in a car accident back in January and after my physical therapy sessions ran out I was still in some occasional pain. The last few days of owing this I can say that my shoulder pain has mostly stayed at bay. Using the big head, I hold it over my shoulder area and sweep it back and fourth for about a minute and I am good to go for the day. There are two speeds that this thing can do and I use the lower 1750 rpm speed. I am extremely happy with this so far and it seems to be very well built and is fells sturdy. It is a little on the heavy side and the noise is pretty loud when I am using it on my upper shoulders, but that is also right next to my ear. I have used it on my feet as well and the noise isn’t as bad…obviously since the device is further from my ears. My wife appreciates it when I use this on her lower back and she has told me that it relieves a lot of pain for her as well. I am trying to get her to use it herself, but she insists that I do it. I haven’t gotten into the pre-work out options that you can do with this, but from what I have read so far, this can help with muscle fatigue after a workout.
