I had a 10 year old top-of-the-line Bosch that I wanted to replace. I heard that Thermador (the luxury line for Bosch) had shorter lead times (none of these are ready for delivery anytime soon). So, I decided to purchase the higher end Thermador. The dishwasher was dropped off last week. I went to do the install myself. When I unpackaged the dishwasher, I noticed it had been crushed (see picture). Normally, you wouldn't notice this because it was hidden underneath the insulation pad. I saw another review about a warped dishwasher and rack that falls off the rails. I would bet their dishwasher was also crushed. It would have been easy to miss the damage hidden under the pad. It took about 5 different people, but I finally found someone at Best Buy who could do the exchange (the previous people said "I don't know what is going on. I can't figure out how to exchange this damaged product.") Will revise review when/if I receive an un-damaged unit that I can test. FYI, Best Buy is making me store the damaged unit at my house for over a month till the new one arrives. They are trying to save money (at my expense) by scheduling pickup/delivery on same day. Very annoying. Would expect better service when spending $2,500+ on a dishwasher.

This is my second Thermador dishwasher, I would have given my previous one 5 stars, so I figured a 10 year newer would be that much better, but this one is a massive step down in quality, despite costing over $1000 more. The bottom tray broke after just a week of use and it won't stay on the tracks as I pull it in and out (opening and closing a full load now requires 2 people to guide the rack in!), Thermador is sending a replacement but it's expected to take over a month to arrive. According to the tech who came out to diagnose the problem, I shouldn't expect this tray to be any better, is it going to be the same flimsy bottom rack and I’m going to be calling for service every week to get a new one. The "remote start" feature can't be started remotely- because you have to first enable it from the dishwasher every time (seriously?), it's rated at the same DB level as my last one but seems louder, the "delay start" feature is insane (just try to set a timer for 4 hours) I'll bet my hat it will take you 10 tries. Who's idea was it anyway to give the timer the option to set in minutes? Does anyone really set a timer for 4 hours and 18 minutes (not that you could ever get it to stop at exactly that time anyway)? Would it have just been too easy to let me press the button 4 times instead of holding it down and watching minutes race by, then trying to strategically let go, and then watching the minutes continue to race by and stop somewhere way past 4 hours!? Oh, and I just noticed the tub is warped, so yeah, this is just week three and I'm NOT happy, So, no, I wouldn’t recommend it. This is an overpriced piece of junk, It honestly can’t get any worse than this. Pictures show warping tub, and what happens when you pull the bottom tray out- it just falls off the track every single time.

Super quiet. Still getting used to the rack layout, but the way the bottom rack's tines all fold down in various ways makes it super-flexible and able to wash hard-to-load items like large pots possible. The uppermost rack is deep enough for more than just silverware: things like ladles, serving spoons, cheese knives will fit OK. Downsides: The tech is flaky: still haven't managed to get the app to connect to the dishwasher, so some features are unavailable. It comes with no manual, just a card referring you to download one from their website. For this price, you'd think they could spring for a paper copy.
