I bought this PSU for an R9 380 installed in an XPS system. The PSU run very cool and quiet even on a heavy load. Easy to install. Instructions are accurate and provide all answers. The unit is heavy and solid as one would expect. It will run continuously at 650W so....that pretty much covers the power needs for gamers. It will peak at 780W. If you do your research online you'll find you need at least a 500W-550W power supply. This is 100W over that and can run continuously at that power consumption. Efficiency is a high 85% on average although they state up to 88% and higher on a load. You can't go wrong with this PSU. Unless you are trying to run multiple GPUs, a series of hard drives, and a water-cooling system...this is more than you'll ever need. A single GPU system with good speedy parts will only need up to 550W at best and the computer, as a whole, won't every hit that unless you are scripting some abnormal procedure. Don't let the higher number fool you. Single GPU systems....this is 100W more than you will ever need. Multiple GPU systems, go for at least a 750W or way higher; besides, this 650W has only two PCIe 12V connectors...so, you can only supply power to one GPU anyway. I'm good at research and I've been dealing with computers for over 20 years. This is perfect for every gamer out there. You really don't need anything else unless you actually calculated and know your power consumption. Highly recommended. Fits all ATX cases (XPS type cases and MiniTowers alike). You won't regret this purchase.

This power supply is your basic power supply; it gets the job done, plus a toggle power switch--which isn't on every power supply I've ever owned, but now I don't want to not have it. Bells and whistles aren't terribly abundant options, considering this is a component piece, but they do have a couple details I enjoy, like all black cables. The cables are also flat, which, depending on your case, could go a long way toward packing a clean case--not everyone cares about these things, but I do. A heads-up: if you're working on an older rig, with that standard 4-pin input to the motherboard, they're making 8-pin hook-ups, now and this power supply has both covered, but you have to snap the piece apart to use just the 4-pin. Most people who build computers, that I know, read reviews, but skip directions. So before you take it back, take a solid look at the connection, you'll see the seam, snap it, it's meant to do that.

Bought this to team with a EVGA GTX960 FTW video card to upgrade a long in the tooth gaming rig. Well as it turns out I came across the Asus M32 on sale for under $500 and decided to go with that. Had the Geek Squad do the install as I was heading out of town that weekend. I gave it to them on Thursday and they had it done Friday evening. Just added a Noctua NF-A9 case fan and switched out the ram for 16GB Ballistix DDR4 2400 and I am more than happy with the results. This set up is so quite, if not for my system monitors telling me its cool I would not believe the fans were working. And that includes the power supply. Yes maybe I could have spent less in a more planned approach but I am happy with what I have and it plays the game I play great. Which are LOTRO, Minecraft, and 7 Days to Die being the main three. The power supply is running this set up flawlessly. And I know I have room to grow.

I purchased this power supply to replace a 300 watt power supply that came with my computer. I had upgraded to a more powerful graphics card and had started having issues with a slower startup and slower computer overall (especially noticeable when viewing videos). I had also gotten the "blue screen" a couple of times. I've just to got to say: Wow! This is a powerful power supply! My computer starts up, shuts down, and runs much faster and I am not experiencing video lag. I think the new graphics card was pulling too much power from my old power supply and it was affecting my overall computer performance. So far, I have not seen the blue screen again so I'm thinking the new power supply fixed that also. It was easy to hook up and I would most definitely recommend this to anyone needing more power.

This is the same power supply I use in all of the systems I build because I trust them. I had one finally blow out a few weeks ago after being run for 3 years without a break (or with a rare break). And when it blew...it kept working. We had the cloud of magic smoke, we shut down the workstation to clear the air, and then turned it back on like the idiots we are because we were curious. And the supply worked - just not optimally. It allowed us to run the workstation for a few hours each day to get work done on it and pull data from it just in case until our new supply arrived. And then we just pulled the old one and replaced with this same one. Buy it, and you will not regret it.

      Good PSU for the price

Plenty of power and connections, good lead lengths, nice and quiet. Only downsides for me are that there are only two PCI-E power connectors and it's not a modular design so you can't remove unused connector leads which can clutter things up a little if you don't use a lot of them. I knew these downsides going in and they aren't big enough gripes for me to dock it points for those things. Those features are probably unreasonable to expect at this price. I suppose you could also argue it does not have the highest efficiency rating either, but a bronze rating is still above average for this price range. Definitely would buy again!

Good wattage. more than enough for how i use my i7 CPU. Low cost if you find on sale. Good price for an 80 plus bronze The fan is Silent. Fit well into the case. The flat cables were easy to work with and I could store the excess flat. I knew this wasn't modular when I bought it, but I should have sprung the few extra dollars for modular cables like my original. I marked that I would recommend to a friend but really would recommend a modular, gold platinum unit. Although this works fine its not what I really wanted-It was what was available the day I needed a new one so I may change it out for what I really want.

While there is no true cable management (meaning 'modular') aspect to this supply, It was an easy install, quiet running and plenty of power and connectors for a mid-range (or older gaming) system. This was used as a replacement in a clients machine....replacing the same brand and series, but smaller supply. Pay close attention to manufacture suggested power specs on your motherboards, folks, especially if you are running additional video and cooling.
