Thrustmaster Confirms Critical Trigger Design Flaw

I received two x2 controllers that had twisting and shifting left and right triggers. The first x pro did not have this issue after years of ownership. I identified that the mounts between the OG and new controller had a different design. After 4 weeks of waiting through silence, Thrustmaster support confirmed with me the presence of a major design flaw with the right and left triggers. The inserts that hold the triggers will rotate and slide when the triggers are firmly pressed. They claimed that this design was intended and they felt it was acceptable. This company has stated that a sliding and rotating flimsy triggers is acceptable on a $160 controller. Based on thrustmasters statements, ALL controllers built correctly by them will have flimsy, rotating, and shifting left and right triggers. It’s likely only a matter of regular use that the trigger mount completely wears out and is destroyed beyond repair.
