Activating this device helps give us a direction and approximate location based on the volume of the sound we hear. Please be aware that this device does not give the location of the tag on a map display in your phone. It only tells you if the tile is nearby and pressing the "find" button activates the "beep" on the device itself. If the tile is nearby but in a location that would suppress the sound, like under a couch cushion, etc. it may not be as helpful as you would hope.

Love my Tiles

I have owned tiles for years and really do appreciate these upgrades. What I dont like, is that to make up for users not buying new Tiles every year, the Tile company has now decided to charge for how we track the devices. Basic tracking is still free, but they charge for premium tracking... I'll update my review if this "premium" business becomes a problem.

I like the concept of being able to use this gadget to find my accessories, but there are a couple things that need improvement. 1) you have to keep the tile app running in the background and that could drain batteries quicker than normal 2) the location on the map tends to be off more than I like. I used it one time to find my keys (which were right beside me) and the app had my car keys located 2 blocks behind me. 3) when pressing the tile to find my keys it can take more than 2 clicks and then I just start pushing until something happens. I have nothing to else to compare it to so I’m keeping the item for now.
