What makes Sylar unique is the fact that they use certain elements, like electronics, that are becoming more popular and often overused in heavier music these days, and they do it in a more subtle and creative way. It adds a layer to a part of the song, instead of being the core of it. Take away all the extras and you still have a good hard-hitting album. It's not the best album that I've ever heard but it's definitely one that stands out. I hope that they can keep the well-balanced mix in albums to come. If you're a fan of heavier music, it's worth checking out, for sure.
