I bought this right when they released the update for adding in AI teammates (something they removed when they jumped from Wildlands to Breakpoint for whatever reason) about a year after release. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I got the Sentinel Corps Pack, which I understood to be a Day One exclusive.
For actual gameplay, I thought that I wouldn't like the gear levels at all, but I decided to give it a try and it is growing on me. Leveling up for gear is pretty quick, but for actual game levels it's about what I think it should be. You don't get experience points from marking enemies or shutting off the generators (unlike Wildlands), so you're not flying through in game levels. As a reference, I have been playing for roughly 12 hours and am at gear level 100 and in game level 18.
The AI teammates are pretty useful for the harder bases and enemies, though I do like that they added the ability to turn them off just in case I want to roam on my own.
For my gripe, I have noticed that it keeps popping up saying that I'm connected to the Ubisoft servers, but I don't notice any gameplay interruptions. It's an online only game (doesn't need to be because of the game style it is but whatever Ubisoft), but it doesn't kick me off whenever the message pops up. So I have no clue what it's for or what it's actually doing.
I usually wait for Ubisioft games to drop in price before buying them. I refuse to pay full price for them, as they tend to go on sale very quickly. I did it for Fary Cry New Dawn and you better believe I did it for this game, but holy cow this game was from $60 to a Deal of the Day pricing of $15.99 and with my GCU I got it for $12.79.
This was a no brainer! I had to get this game for that price and I haven't seen it that low since.
This game is no where at all perfect but I paid more for games that are way worse then is (I'm looking at you ANTHEM!)
Overall if you can get this game at $0 or under, just get it!
So I purchased this game for $5...and it is well worth it! Actually, there is a lot to do in this game and you can level up pretty quickly. I have enjoyed the game so far (not finished), and would recommend this to play with a friend more than alone. Dying alone is not fun without a partner that can revive you.
I am by no means a mad gamer. I am the father of four kids whos kids play a heck of a lot more then me. Having said that this game is great. It took me a full year to play all of Red Dead 2 so I will probably be on this one for awhile. Yes there are some glitches and such but it's a great map with lots to do. It reminds me of the Navy Seal SOCOM on PS2 (I believe) years ago. If you like to play games with shooting and especially long distance shooting and cover. This is a great game!
3rd person shooter, Huge open world, a lot to do, so much fun by yourself or with just 1 other person. Its a better game than i thought it was going to be, but I'm not a overly critical person and I really like these type of games. (Division 1, 2, Wild lands,)
