I played the beta before purchasing this game as I thought that it was going to be fun and exciting. The first 20 hours were fun but once you hit level 30 it becomes a grind-fest. You rinse and repeat the same process over and over just to get legendary weapons/gears. It is a tedious and long process. Most of the time you only get purple gears which sucks. There are only 3 different types of enemy, Cleaners, Rikers and Last Man Battalion. They are all are so predictable and easy to gun down once you have proper gears. You can solo all the elites boss without much effort. There is no strategy or tactics needed. Just a poorly design AI. As for PvP I think each server only allows up to 25 people which isn't much of a PvP. Nowadays there are many hackers making it useless to go loot in the Dark Zones. Also, if you're really well geared it is easy to do a 1v4 without much effort as others aren't even geared enough to beat you. They need to balance out players with their gears instead of just level. Once you become fully geared everything else seems pointless to do beside waiting at Extraction Zones and just killing for the fun of it. Overall this game is only fun until you reached level 30. There isn't any real end game contents and you will get bored afterwards. I would only recommend you playing this game when it is on sale for a cheaper price. At full retail it is not worth getting as there are better game to waste your time on. In case anyone is wondering I have put in over 200 hours into this game.

As someone who has played virtually every game Ubisoft has released, I can say that The Division is a great game that has a lot of potential. First and foremost it is a post apocalyptic shooter in the not so distant future following the aftermath of a deadly virus outbreak in NYC. Your group, The Division, is tasked with keeping order in a society ravaged by death, lootings, and lawlessness. The general premise of the game is to roam NYC with your fellow teammates and take back the city from looters and gangs that have risen up. As a large MMORPG style FPS it differentiates itself from other shooters (Destiny, etc) by adding different tactics like it's "Dark Zone". These are contaminated areas that are PVP and offer greater rewards but others can pillage from you and take your rewards. To demonstrate this when I first played one of these zones I teamed up with three others securing supplies in one of these areas. While we were waiting for the copter to pick them up another player attacked us and one of my teammates betrayed us shooting me and our other team mates so he could take the spoils of our supplies. It makes it difficult to know who to trust if not playing with friends. The game promises future updates that will tell more of the story and offer more areas to explore. It's a beautiful but imperfect game (as nothing can live up to fan expectations), but is still rewarding and challenging to play.

Ever since I saw the first trailer for this game I was pumped. As an avid DayZ player, The Division seemed to have the same style of play and looting system and it immediately appealed to me. From launch until now I have most definitely enjoyed this game a lot. The mixture between a third person over-the-shoulder shooter and a gear progression based MMORPG really makes for a lot of fun and player customizations. My favorite part is probably the seemless transitioning between PVE and PVP gameplay when entering and leaving the Dark Zones (designated Player Versus Player locations). There's no loading screens or extra menus to access. Overall I feel Ubisoft did an amazing job. It's still early in its lifespan so there are a few bugs here and there but they are pretty thorough about regular patches and maintenances. And with future content already being sneak peaked I'm sure this game will continue to provide hours of fun.

I was so excited for this game when I first heard about it back in 2013 at e3 though I never got a chance to actually play it. After playing through both the closed and open beta this year, I thought I'd save my judgement for the release as the developers promised the majority of my qualms would be answered with the final version. That however, was not the case. The environments are the same, visually appealing, but devoid of anything engaging. There's just...nothing worthwhile going on. For an open world game, I expected more. Random encounters with thugs are all the same, they look the same, they fight the same, and they talk the same s***. The biggest complaint I have of all, is the lack of social interactions. If I am to believe that I am a part of a large-scale government initiative to take back the city, don't make my only interactions for non matchmaking modes an area where I shoot fellow agents. In the end, after some 40 or so hours of playing, I reached the level cap and have not gone back. It feels like a chore to sit there and grind through this game, and for what? Loot? The desire to equip your character with the best gear results from a connection to the game whereby the player is emotionally invested. Loot for the sake of loot, sorely misses that note.

I purchased "The Division" on all 3 platforms and must say that PC is by far the most enjoyable, however there are a lack of players compared to console. The single player campaign is a one shot play through and without the DZ (multiplayer arena) the game gets old. Gear wise you HAVE to play DZ with a group, the high-end gear makes a huge difference. If you're a single player kind of player, I'd wait until you have atleast 2 friends who play consistently. Waiting for the extract in the DZ is only 90 seconds but it can be intense not knowing who will turn on you or if the NPCs decide to come after you. Build specs can be changed at any time so you're not locked in to one particular class. There is a lot of content being released at a steady pace. If the dates hold up, I can see myself playing this game for a long time. If it falls behind... I may not be willing to wait. Ubisoft delayed this game for over 2 years but it was worth it. Been playing for a month now and hit two characters at 30 with DZ levels above 60 on PC alone. Hope everyone has a chance to experience this great game!

Extremely fun and addicting game but has a lot of bugs and cheaters that need to be addressed and is being taken care of as I write this. As for the cheaters exploiting the game, that has been fixed and is constantly being monitored by the devs and anyone caught cheating the first time will be banned for 14 days, anyone caught cheating a second time will be banned for life, and for the bugs, they are being fixed with patches quite often. I myself have found several and have posted said bugs on Ubisoft's forum. In my view of the game, sure it has some problems but in the long run you definitely get your money's worth. I would say to anyone interested in this game "BUY IT YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!". I've had so much fun with this game I ended up buying the season pass and that's saying a lot because i've never been into multiplayer games in my life.

The story cuts off, leaving you with unanswered questions left and right. (That how games are marketed now, so you can buy their dlcs). There is no true antagonist to face off... yet. Unless you consider glitches to be your worst boss. Nothing like falling through the ground during a firefight. Nothing to really do once you get through the story line besides enter the dark zone. But the dark zone is filled with hackers with god mode, no clip, infinite ammo, wall hacks, and speed hack. Not my definition of a fun time. You can google the list of gripes players have. However, when the game isn't affected by the items above, you can see what the game could have been. There was so much to be excited for. Key would be how Ubisoft fixes these issues and add contents for the dlcs. Maybe the game will improve.

Game mechanics are great for an RPG-lite cover-shooter. Other than a few annoying bugs, it performs well. Environment is fairly immersive with decent character dialogue and interaction. The biggest problem with the game (and why I wouldn't recommend it at this time) is that it lacks any sort of substantial end game goals. Finishing the missions and getting to maximum level of 30 is quick and easy. Shift in gameplay from there after is supposed to revolve around a variety of activities to keep players busy. Currently, there is only the Dark Zone and a few daily quests (which are the same every day). There is no variety and trying to get better gear is an enormous grind. In summation, the game has a lot of potential that will hopefully be realized sometime down the road when more content is added.
