I didnt give this 5 stars as it is marketed as a performance/gaming drive but my CrystalDiskMark scores, while good, didnt represent what I consider performance numbers especially if compared to SSD's... I am using it to store my pictures/videos/movies not for any processing. Drop drive in, format how you like and you are ready to go. 2 year warranty Sata III rated 7200rpm 128mb

This hard drive is good and fast, but I took off a star because it is not as quiet as my other drives that are WD, Seagate. It is NOT loud. It is not as quiet. For those who remember the older drives from the 90s where you hear a bit of soft movement inside your case when loading or writing to the hard drive. I have my case on my desk and I can hear it. Having it inside a case or on the floor maybe you won't. Anyway, that is not why I got this drive. I knew what I was getting. The price just right for me to take the plunge. My thing with hard drives is to ONLY BUY when you really need it...and I did. Since hard drive prices always go down with time, it is best to wait until you really need the space. Solid 4 stars.

Picked this up on special and have not been disappointed. It is a loud drive, but for the performance and price it's spot on.
