I've had this external for a while now and have no complaints. It's the first one I've had you have to plug in to use - so that's a little inconvenient. Otherwise, it's a great external.

I bought this 3 TB Ext HDD to replace my 1.5 USB Toshiba Drive which failed miserably. The Toshiba worked for a few months and now after several back up attempts I cannot store or retrieve any of my records. Toshiba doesn't even support these drives anymore so I can't even download a fresh drive software (I wonder WHY?). It is junk. I purchased because of the wonderful service I have had for my Satellite Laptops. It's over 5 years old and working fine. In fact My first Toshiba purchased 10 years ago still works fine, just not all the bells and whistles. So do not be shy about the computers, just don't bother with their hard drives. Find something else.

Thousands of bad sectors. Would not buy again. Probably won't buy Toshiba again with this experience.
