I purchased two of these drives. The first was to copy eight years worth of work, images, art work, files, photos, etc., (about 100 GB) that I'd done for my church -- to give them a copy of everything they might need. I bought the second drive to back all of this work up...and off of my main computer. The devices install themselves quickly and easily. Data transfer was quick, and the drive is nice and small and easy to port.

Nice little drive

Since I do not allow him to download any content without my complete scrutiny, he is not filling that SSD up. Was this a needless purchase? Nope. I use it to back up personal files, pics/videos, music, etc. Its very small and low profile. i like the LED light on the front that lets me know its getting power, which is supplied via the USB connection. I would recommend it to anyone.

Q: QuestionDoes the software make an image of the PC hard disk?Meaning, can you a) boot and run the PC from the external drive and b) copy the entire saved image to your repaired or replaced internal hard drive and then start the PC from the internal drive again?

- A:Answer You can do a complete system backup using the NTI Backup Now EZ software that is included with the Canvio Slim II to back up the entire PC. Once you have done the complete system backup, you can create a bootable disk (either using the Canvio drive or USB flash drive) to restore all your data to your PC internal drive.
