Awesome router overall and way better mesh Wi-Fi system to cover more areas in your home. The setup is simple with the TP link deco app on the Wi-Fi speeds you get are great. I pay for 1 gig up / 1 gig down and this router(s) lets me use them better than most.

I have a 3 Deco M5 system for years. Now my wireless gadgets increased I found this M9 to add to the system and be the main one for it's newer and better. However big disappointment after did a fresh setup and realized that: The firmware came with the 2020 Q1 purchased v2, is actually lower and fewer features than the latest firmware on my years-old M5s. What's worse is it shows no new firmware although even TP-Link posted one. It can't be updated via the regular way either. Check the official cs forum users' complaints are not responded properly for months. It's still working as it should, just without the feature to know which devices connected to which router like in my previous M5 firmware.

I absolutely love these. We have excellent coverage throughout our house. I like that I don't have to choose between 2.4 and 5 ghz bands. The application for controlling access provides plenty of functionality. Adding additional units is quick and easy.
