The Kasa app is really easy to use and really straight forward. I wish they offered more smart things, and i hope they expand their line soon. The light itself is nice and soft, has the same output as about a 30-40w conventional bulb. also it kinda looks cool. Also the price is hard to beat. The lack of color choice is a little bit limiting, but that's not really something that would be useful based on the nature of this type of light so i wouldn't count it against it. You can adjust the brightness and dim it as needed.

I ended up buying 5 of these from BB online when they were on sale for my home. Two for our master bedroom lamps, two for some kitchen accent lights, and one for my front porch door light. Set up through the Kasa app was easy but not without some issues. Three of them connected to my wifi just fine and updated themselves with no issues but the other two took several tries, with the app saying it either couldn't find them or they were unable to connect to wifi. But, after a few tries everything finally got up and running and I started seeing what I could do with them. I set the porch light on a schedule using the app so it comes on every night and later shuts itself off. Super cool. However, the other two sets of lights behave kind of odd (and i'm sure it's probably the ones that took a long time to connect to wifi/update). Sometimes when I try to turn them on with the app or with my google hubs only one of the kitchen lights will turn on, or only one of the bedroom ones turns on. You then have to manually turn them off at the switch, wait a few minutes, then turn them back on and they will all do their smart stuff but I usually always have to "reset" them at least once a week. Maybe those two are semi-faulty, but overall, I enjoy the lights. My ultimate purpose for getting them was to be able to set some of them on schedules and being able to turn them off and on from outside the house if we forgot to leave lights on for our dogs or when it was bedtime and no one wanted to get up to turn the lights off. Overall, I'm happy with the lights but sometimes annoyed when they have to be reset (and it's not just these ones, I also have some C by GE ones in other rooms that have the same issues). Pros: usually easy to setup, can be scheduled, they are dimmable (and also very bright at 100%), can be controlled by voice through my google home/hubs. Cons: sometimes cannot be found on the network and have to be reset.

This bulb is the closest I have found to an incadesant bulb.. very easy setup and works flawlessly with Google home including telling Google what percentage you want it set at. Went back and bought 2 more. Using one as an outdoor entry light and 2 inside my house. Will probably buy more .. great price
