The interstellar battle between the Autobots and Decepticons rains destruction down on planet Earth as director Michael Bay adapts Hasbro and Takara's popular Transformers franchise into a big-budget, live-action summer tentpole extravaganza in this ambitious sci-fi action feature starring Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson, Bernie Mac, John Turturro, Jon Voight, and, of course, Optimus Prime and Megatron. Long ago, on the planet of Cybertron, a massive, powerful alien race divided into two factions, the noble Autobots, and the devious Decepticons. They fought for the sole access to a talisman known as the Allspark, a cube with the capacity to grant infinite power, and eventually the Autobots smuggled it off the planet's surface, hiding it in an unknown location on Earth. Now, hundreds of years later, the Deceptacons have come looking for it, and if the Autobots don't find it first, the Earth will be enslaved or destroyed by the evil aliens' use of its massive power. The Autobots don't know where the cube was hidden, but the information may be stored in the most unlikely of sources, as a gangly young Earthling named Sam Witwicky (LaBeouf) who's just picked up his first car, has a strange connection to the Allspark's history, making him the unlikely ally of these enormous creatures, as they fight for humankind's survival and the chance to return home.~Jason Buchanan
This Movie is in Bluray Format. Very nice elegant looking Bluray Case. I consider this as A Collector's Item. The Movie is Very Superv
Very Clear Picture, Full of Action all the way, Very Entertaining. The Audio is awesome in Dolby Digital 5.1 Channel (in English, French, Spanish) also in Dolby True HD. I don't get tired watching repeatedly.
I was excited when I found out they were rebooting the Transformers. It took me a while to warm up to it but I really enjoy this movie as it was the start of the franchise reboot. I grew up in the 80s so of course the original animated movie is hard to top. I love the new story line.
So the Transformers movie started out with this one. Now the 4k is good a little better than the 1080P version but the atmos was not as good as I expected. It was good but not reference. Of couse this is the better one out of the 5 movies but I believe that the audio and video gets better as you move up in the movies 2-5. All in all I think this good movie to have in your collection and its fun to watch.
IMO Possibly the best of the Transformers movies. Difficult to see the action because of the frames per second when they recorded these movies. You miss a lot of stuff because its simply to fast to watch and see and know what exactly is happening, especially during the transforming scenes and action scenes.
The first Transformers has been a more positive staple in Michael Bay's pantheon of movies. Thankfully, the visuals are not skipped on the blu ray, and less the 4k either. If your system needs a good workout, here you go!
