The interstellar war between the Autobots and Decepticons shifts into overdrive following the discovery of Sentinel Prime (voice of Leonard Nimoy) in this sequel from director Michael Bay. Only a precious handful of officials in the government and military realize that the 1969 moon mission was the result of an event that threatened profound repercussions for the entire human race. When the Apollo 11 astronauts discover the wrecked remains of Sentinel Prime on the surface of our natural satellite, they bring him back to planet Earth. But Sentinel Prime wasn't the only alien object on the moon, and when a malevolent new enemy makes its presence known, only the Autobots can save humankind from certain destruction.~Jason Buchanan

I think it is the best of the 3 movies the second one was okay but not happy with the fact this edition had no special features on the blu ray where are the alternate or deleted scenes where are the behind the scenes. Happy with a digital copy and dvd but where are the extras

Not in 3D but wait before buying
I was hoping this release came out in 3D format since it was in IMAX 3D. So thinking they weren't going to do a 3D format release I purchased this version. When I opened the disc and saw the insert for the digital copy code and flipped it over I found out they are releasing a 3D format. The insert (as seen in picture I provided) says save $10 from the purchase of the Blu Ray 3D format coming soon. Doesn't say when but just soon. So I wasted about $20 on the movie just to find out I will have to buy it later on to get the 3D version. Granted there is a $10 coupon.
I love the movies overall. But I didn't want to waste $20 just to save $10 on the 3D version. They should have waited for the 3D format before releasing it. Other wise, it is a good movie and worth seeing.

JUST THE MOVIE ? Where are the extras?
The movie was good but I love to watch the extra content. I felt like I was burned when I got Avatar and the same thing happened with this Blu-Ray. Don’t get us to buy a Blu-ray and then tell us .. There is a better version coming soon. 100% FAIL. The action was good but not very believable. The need to input stuff that has nothing to do with transformers was a bit irritating. Keep it real not so fake. Make me believe that there could be giant robots who transform.

The Best Bay Transformers film
Owned for 2 months when reviewed.
The best Michael Bay Transformers movie in my opinion. The steel book is a nice purchase given that discs might eventually be obsolete. But the steel books seem like good collectibles.
You don't go into a Transformers movie looking for Oscar-worthy writing, but you do get spectacle. Not as good as the first, but miles above Revenge of the Fallen.
The steelbook I received wasn't what was pictured, but I'm fine with that as the one I got is better!
And for $8, I couldn't go wrong!
Ok, im sick and tired of movie critics bashing anything with special effects combined with exhillerating cinematography(mainly every Bay movie). Dark of the Moon is awesome. Pure and simple. The story, though nothing mindbending or complicated, is still a good story. Its fun to follow along with it, especially if your big on conspiracy. and theres nothing wrong with the way Bay tells a story, especially this one. You just need to keep up with it. All the new autobots are at least given just a little bit to do this time, versus how in Revenge where Sideswipe just jumped over a car in the begining and that was it. Speaking of Revenge, DOTM is a MAJOR improvement. Its just more complete. The human characters are still charming in their own ways, and Rosey IS better than Fox, so top complainin. Anyway, all the new robots, Sentinel Prime, The Wreckers, Dreads, Que, Brains, ect are all cool additions and for the most part are all needed for the story. And the humor, well, its funny. thats all there is to it. And that finale in Chicago is totally awesome by the way. Even though some of the decepticons are very underused, when it came around to it, it was satisfying for the most part to see them all brawl it out. Id give this movie four and a half stars if i could, but oh well. Im sure the special features on the upcoming deluxe edition will be completely awesome too. ill just honeslty say for now that its the best and most entertaining one of the bunch.
