Excellent Game

Now I can play it on my Switch and easily take it with me. I hope to be able to buy the 2nd part of Turok for the switch too, but Best Buy doesn’t have it at the moment.

Turok on cartridge in 2020!

This was a game I played back in the day, and its pretty cool to have on physical release in 2020. The case quality and artwork are all top notch - as typically is the case from Limited Run. Unfortunately, like most Nintendo 64 games, it does not hold up well today when played. But these type of games are all about the nostalgia, so newcomers beware! Overall I recommend only for people who experienced this on an N64.

Nostalgia trip to N64 days

It’s not a complete re-imagining of the game, but a polished version of the original. Same graphical style but runs very smooth on Switch. 1st person adventure shooter battling goons and dinosaurs. This would be a good choice for gamers who enjoyed the N64. I do want to note that only a limited amount of physical copies were made of this game so get it while you can!

Nostalgia for the 90’s kid

That being said the Turok games are a fun reminder of how far gaming has come. If you’re expecting a 2020 experience, go play CoD Modern Warfare or Outerworlds, but if you’re wanting a straightforward shooter on the go check these games out.

- A:Answer Nintendo didn’t develop the game, so you’ll be paying Best Buy then Nightdive Studios, who developed this remaster, will get cut of the money. You’re not buying another copy of the original Nintendo 64 game, you are buying a remastered/updated version of the game that features better graphics and way better controls. Which took a lot of time and money to get it working on the Nintendo Switch. You you spend 50+ hour work weeks, pay for the needed hardware, and pay for electricity and people to help you, then turn around and give your updated product away for free? Probably not, yes you have to buy it again.
