Anybody reading this that has used wired headphones/headsets on PS4 probably knows that many headsets can't play very loud or with authoritative low end. I've had to turn up the headphone volume level from within the PS4 menu to full volume or a couple of clicks below that if I want it to have good immersion. These Stealth 300 solves this problem, but creates another one in the process. The main reason I give these 4 stars instead of 5 is this headset must be "on", with the internal amplification engaged. If they are turned off, plugging this into the PS4 controller does nothing, they do not work. This can be a problem if you are playing and your battery dies, basically shutting you down without any audio at all. These charge with a USB micro-USB cable, which is included. Build quality is average for a retail $80 headset. The ear cups are covered in a soft cloth material, which is reportedly memory foam. There is some padding on the crown of the headband. Mic and 3.5mm cable are not detachable, which is another knock I have against these. Muting is done by flipping the mic up, which I've never been a big fan of. The mic itself is hard plastic and not bendable. Volume level and mic monitoring dials are on the ear cup, which I much prefer over inline controls. Comfort wise these are very good. The pads on the ear cups don't really feel overly soft to the touch by hand, but on your head they are pretty nice. I like cloth covered pads over vinyl or faux leather, as those can get sticky if your ears sweat. Clamping force isn't an issue with my head and my melon is bigger than average. Sound quality these do very well. There are 4 different pre-set EQ options to pick from and there is a slight difference in all of them. Overall sound is clear with a good amount higher frequency detail, with the low end having strong impact and immersion. They will get much louder than other PS4 headsets I have used that don't use amplification, such as the HyperX Cloud and Plantronics Rig 500 Pro. Overall, for $80 I would have liked to see a detachable 3.5mm cable and even a detachable mic. You don't get that with these, so they might not be the best option for say an irresponsible teen who doesn't take care of their gear. In comparison, the Logitech G Pro ($89.99 msrp) and Plantronics Rig 500 Pro ($79.99 msrp) both have detachable 3.5mm cables and microphones. Of course, both of those don't have the internal amplification the Stealth 300's have, so buy accordingly. I got these via a price-match for $64.99, which I think is a pretty good price for what you get.

a while ago, my playstation gold headphones broke.so while searching for some new good quality headphones, I found these. They were very well priced and comfortable. They really immersified (don't know if that's a word) my gaming experience. I was able to hear people coming from certain directions accurately and could hear the game and voice chat at an equal volume which was a problem for me with the playstation gold headphones. Also the features the headphones had were great. you could mute your headphones by flipping up the microphone which was so much faster than going into the playstation menu and muting yourself. And you could change your microphone volume and general volume on the headset. Overall, if you're looking for a good cheap headset then I would highly recommend this one. The only down side I can think of is that you have to charge it, but it really isn't a problem because it charges quickly and has a very long battery life. Overall a comfortable, high quality headset.

Pros: The sound is great and theyre comfortable. They also have a good battery life. Cons: The Ear cups feel loose when ever you grab the headset. They rotate too much, it feels like theyre gonna break essily. Over all they’re pretty good headphones.
