I've been a huge TwelveSouth fan ever since I discovered their products. Their products are exclusive to Apple and they have some killer designs (bookbook for example). However I have never bought any of their products... just love them though (but I've always wanted bookbook for iPhone)
This armband is the first product they have that I *need* as I've started cross training and Olympic lifting for about a year now.
Not only does this free up my wrist to allow me to wear wrist wraps for weight lifting... I have been getting more accurate readings during my "WODs". I use to range anywhere from 300-550 total Cals and average BPM around 100. Now total cals range from 450-700 and BPM around 120-135
Only one con though, which I hinted in the title.. quality. See attached image, did not expect the part you grab to undo the strap to come apart in less than 1 weeks worth of use. It doesn't not work as a result but I thought... prolly luck of the drawl, if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any kinda thing.
Well I bought one for my wife and almost same exact thing happen to hers as well
I'm not gonna put up a fuss but I am a little disappointed in it happening... I've still been using it regardless. And id still recommend it.

Great for Crossfit and more consistent HR

I bought the Actionsleeve directly from the company as soon as it was released. The biggest frustration I had with the Apple Watch was that I couldn't wear it when the movements of the workout affect my wrist. Any type of push-up, ring dip, overhead squats, jerks, etc were all no Watch days. When I could wear my watch, the HR rates were inconsistent as the watch would lose direct contact with my skin depending on the movement. I would have a HR of 155 one minutes, then the next would be 77. It was a bit frustrating as I am learning how HR levels during workouts promote different aspects of conditioning. It also is rewarding to see the HR higher when you know you were pushing it or that it was steady for some of the endurance things.
The action sleeve solved all my frustrations with the Apple Watch. I've worn it about 5 times now and it has kept consistent HR readings. It has never gotten in the way of a workout. The closest thing to being in the way was ring dips. Usually the bicep needs to touch the ring and I couldn't feel the touch on the side the actionsleeve was on. Still - it did not limit my range of motion at all.
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who is having the same frustrations I was having. It is a worthwhile investment and I believe the price is great for the results I've seen in using the product.

I was hoping it would be a great product, but broke after 1st use. The portion that attaches to the velcro separate into two parts when I tried to remove it the first time. It still held the watch face, but the non-attached flap would flap around during workouts and running. Returned the product.

My wife loves it! She uses it at work with her Apple Watch because she can’t wear watches. She uses it to track her steps. She loves it and it works fine. It might cause a bit of a rash though if you sweat on it too much.

Holds Watch Snug - Does Nor Slide

I have used it four times to play basketball. It holds snug on my upper arm and only slid when I was dripping wet in sweat. I holds the Apple Watch securely in place, it will never fall out.
The materials seems decent and I have had no problems. I think is really a decent product.

This would be best for boxing type workouts, but I run mostly. I got this so I didn't need to wear 3 watches ( I already have a Garmin, and a FITBIT before I picked up the Apple watch). This allows me to slide the Apple watch up my arm, but for me, not worth the extra time at the end of my runs.

Love wearing this to the gym, my wrist always messes with the buttons so I bought this item and it works good.
