I had never seen the series, though I heard good things about it & I like other stuff from David Lynch. It seems to get referenced a lot when people describe other shows/movies, so when I saw this on the "Deal of the Day" I bought it. I haven't had the chance to start watching it yet, but I can say that the box is outstanding. It is in a heavy cardboard box that hinges up. Inside, the discs are held in lighter sleeves that hinge the same way. There's a marker for the start of each season & for the film at the end. The "pages" have photos from the series. At the very end there's a "secret" door that lifts to reveal the message, "Fire walk with me." The sleeve mechanism was glued down inside the outer box but the glue isn't sticking to the box at all so they come out. I can't imagine this would be a problem though. If anything, it makes it more convenient to get to the discs at the end. This is easily one of the best boxed sets that I've ever seen. Fans of the series should really like it. I can't wait to dive in.

Twin Peaks fans are in for a treat on Blu-ray. The Complete Series and Fire Walk With Me! What makes this set shine is the 90 or so minutes of deleted scenes from Fire Walk With Me. Almost everything from the Gold Box DVD Collection and Artisan DVD releases are on here. What's missing from the DVDs are: Julee Cruise's "Falling" music video, the SNL monologue and Twin Peaks skit featuring Kyle Maclachlan, and the Georgia Coffee commercials. Also missing are the Twin Peaks postcards from the Gold Box. But what's here is simply amazing. The Blu-ray lossless audio and hi-def video are second to none! And there are NEW extras or extended ones of old extras. This set is highly recommended!

I picked this up for my birthday. First I want to say I love the box. The cover art is truly amazing. the inside is very pretty. Getting the disks out is a little hassle, but they still are safe and secure. I'm very gentle with it,but you have to be as some of the pages are a bit thin. I do wish it gave more detail as to what was on the disks besides labeling episode 1,2,3 etc. and just extras or bonus features. They leave it kind of up to a mystery as to what features are on what disk. The menu's are very nice, but I am still having issues navigating them. They're not your normal disk menu's..of course this isn't really your normal every day show either, so i guess it fits. :) I did find what I would consider an easter egg right away though. (i'm not giving it away.) and I'm sure there's a lot more hidden stuff that I just haven't found yet,and that was on the disk itself. I will say there is another surprise at the very end of the packaging. just look carefully. The audio on this is really wonderful, and so is the picture quality. I don't remember watching this on tv when it originally aired. I would of only been around 3. I did however watch it on the gold dvd edition, and the Blu-Ray quality is far better. People were telling me the price was a little outrageous, but around 70-80 bucks for 10 Blu-Ray disks. The whole show, plus the movie AND extras. I thought it was a steal. :) This is a must have for every Twin Peaks and/or David Lynch fan.
