Underworld
A young man who has pledged his life to helping others finds himself in a pitched battle between two gangs of supernatural villains in this blend of horror story and action thriller. Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman) is a medical student who is heading home after a long day of school and work when he unexpectedly finds himself in the middle of what appears to be a rumble between two well turned-out street gangs. When a new instalment of a franchise arrives it's a great time to get an older collected set at a great price. I've been wanting to upgrade my copies of this franchise to blu-ray for a few years but couldn't justify the cost. When the latest film was released on disc, a newer collection set was released as well, which dropped the price on this item pretty dramatically. I was able to get the new film in addition far below retail due to Black Friday. So, all-in-all I got all 5 films collected for a lot less cash than the new box set. This product literally just collects the individual blu-ray releases of each of the first 4 films in one box. My only disappointment with this collection is the lack of digital versions of the films. I also would have liked to see 3D versions (of those that have them) included, but I realize that's pretty much a dead format.

The films themselves are awesome. I have liked them since I first saw them, and even saw a few in theatres. The packaging is great, but could've been upgraded to steelbook/steelbox or something. I would have paid extra for it. Usually a multi-film set like this is improperly packaged... However, this one was surprisingly not. Each film has it's own case and you get two codes for UV. One for the first 3 films, one for Underworld Awakening. It makes sense too, because Awakening came out way after the others, so that wasn't a big deal. If you're looking for a great deal and a couple more films, add this beast collection to your... well, collection. XD

This is a great collection of vampire/werewolf movies, an awesome series of films starring the beautiful Kate Beckinsale! However, I was very disappointed that only the 4th film in the franchise, Underworld: Awakening, included a digital Copy but the BestBuy.com description doesn't specify this! I bought it thinking all 4 digital copies were included based on BestBuy.com's description so don't make the same mistake I made! I HIGHLY recommend the movies; however, I don't recommend this particular package if you are looking for digital copies of the films!

This box set includes the first four Underworld movies. Four discs, each in their own standard Blu-ray case. A good way to marathon this dark and stylish action / horror series. The only drawbacks are: No 3-D for Awakening, Awakening is the only movie that comes with a Digital HD code, and the whole set could be more compact if packaged in a single multi-disc case to save shelf space (a personal preference). Overall, this is the best option for Underworld fans, at least until Blood Wars comes out.

The video quality is outstanding. BUT, on the 3rd and 4th discs, there are audio track oddities. The voice track is so quiet that I had to turn up that channel on my 7.1 surround receiver. I have not had to change this setting in years through hundreds of movies, Blu-ray or otherwise. On the 4th disc, when the movie started, the audio did not match up to the mouth movements of the actors. I thought it was odd so I started it over. The same things happened again and corrected at exactly the same spot.

Four individual releases packed together w/UV code

I'm not going to write about the movies, because you can go to the individual movie pages for specific reviews. Plus, the Underworld franchise is undeniably campy -- either like it or you don't. I like it. This review is about this specific set. This is a budget set that repackages the four individual Blu-ray releases into a somewhat flimsy outer box. Each of the individual releases are shrink-wrapped, as is the outer box. There is one Ultraviolet digital code in the box that activates all four movies. Very nice.

I bought this set today because I wanted the digital download and disc. I was disappointed to find out that not only was there not digital downloads for all the disc in the set (Only the most recent one) but also that code expired in 2014. So if you are looking to purchase the disc and code, DO NOT buy this set. You will be disappointed, like I am.

An exceptional film franchise with an exceptional cast and crew! Everyone does an excellent job with every film, and I'm always excited when a new one releases or when one of these films shows up on TV. Therefore, I bought this, the collection of one of my most favorite film franchises to date! I hope they make at least a few more, before they are done. I also hope they stop after a few more, because I don't want the story to run dry. Although, how could it really?! XD
