I bought this due to my moms health, falling. For the first couple of days, battery went low after 24hrs. But, since then it has kept charge for over 48hrs. I have yet to check distance because i am also disabled. When I do get to check distance, i will update review. I do love the call button. my mom is 73, hard to learn new things. But, this one button push is good enough to get me to here fast.

Real nice two-way radio. Simple, but powerful. I used it in Yosemite National Park and was satisfied :)

The radios were fully charged & 1 of them did not turned on.
