Customers regard the range of the 50-Mile, 22-Channel FRS/GMRS 2-Way Radios (Pair) as significantly less than advertised. Several users reported that communication range was considerably shorter than the stated 50 miles, with some experiencing difficulties even at much shorter distances. The radios themselves appear to be well-constructed, but the limited range is a major drawback for many customers.

These radios are well made and easy to use! I bought 4 radios, we travel with at least 3 or 4 car groups. I like being able to communicate with all radios! Only minus was not able to get over 20 miles range of communications!

I was tired of my son getting cheapo walkie talkies and his disappointment when they didn't actually work. These are great. The sound is clear and the distance so far has been great for us. There's a button that you push and it tells the weather. They've got a flashlight on the bottom of each handset which I hadn't realized originally.

We use these for our Parking Team at our church. They work great and do not interfere with the sound system in the auditorium. They are also submersible which is great since they are used in the rain, etc.
