Much like their name their service is unreal. And I'm talking both network service and customer service. This is not a real carrier but a voice over IP. I have a master's degree in computer science and I still didn't find their set up to be easy. So if you think of getting their SIM card to your mom then forget about it altogether... After I was finally able to set up their service real problems started. Half of the times I'm trying to make a phone call it doesn't go through. Tells me there's a problem with the number. I tried calling a different number the same problem. So no the problem is not with the standard 10 digit numbers I'm trying to dial. It's with unreal mobile network. And vice versa people who try to reach me tell me they get weird error messages like my number is not connected. Their customer service? Unreal... Dial their phone support in the specified hours. Says they're closed. Try dialing a bit earlier. Getting a half hour lecture on how I can do everything from their website. The only option where you actually have a chance to get a person on the line is if you choose activation. But even then most of the times you just choose activation and they hang up on you. Automatically. Not even a tiny efforts to transfer you to someone or put you on hold. You just press 1 for activation agent and the call pretty much ends there. You have to also send messages through their app. The app is so sophisticated that it can only send one picture at a time. oh and if you're getting pictures from your friends and wants to delete them to save space? You can only delete the entire conversation with the person. Not a single message or single picture So I gave up and wanted to switch to another carrier. Bought a SIM card. Activated it and provided all the required Port out information. The deadline I get is 3 days ago. And guess what? Unreal mobile website reports status as business as usual. Like they didn't even received a request. of course u want to call their customer service and ask for help but trying to do that a few times, they just hang up and hung up and hang up. So please do yourself a favor and avoid this this company at all cost. I wouldn't even use their services for free, unless it's for a hotspot (internet works well because it's not theirs it's AT&t... My new carrier can't even reach them they don't respond to tickets there is absolutely no way to reach them. Their activation line doesn't answer their sales representative said they cant help and transferred me back to the automatic system. My number is held hostage and I have to pay double now. I wouldn't even recommend this to my enemies

19.99 USD for 3 month is very cheap for unlimited minutes, sms and 1gb data. But there is a catch- you can not use your phone's calling app. You have to download their app which makes phone calls only when you have internet connection. NO CALLS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE INTERNET. If you are home and connected to wifi you can make calls but if you are hiking, there most likely you wont be able to call if you are lost. Overall, it is a very good deal if you have access to wifi all the times.

The service is through AT&T and the data speeds are good and there is always a strong signal but the problem is the setup process is terrible and Unreal Mobile makes you run all your text messages through their app. You can’t use Google messages you have to use the Unreal messaging app. All in all it’s a budget service and it works.
