Vampire Hunter D was our first introduction to D. While the second movie to me is much better, this is still a classic anime. The blu ray looks great, though there is a point of contention with some fans. If you remember watching a vhs of this or even a dvd of it, you will notice that the english voice actors are different here. They seemed to have changed the english voice actors for whatever reasons. It didn't really bother me too much and the japanese audio is still an option, but some fans are not cool with the switch. Definitely would recommend for those who don't mind but would not for those who want the original voice acting.

Beautifully restored the picture and sound are excellent! Unfortunately this disc has no extras except for the Japanese trailer.

Classic anime great for horror and/or anime fans. Obviously lacks they style and depth of character of more modern offerings but still very entertaining and influential to this day.
