I purchased this alr screen along with an epson ls500 for the full "laser tv" experience, and found that I didn't much care for it. For starters, the screen was slightly damaged. One of the seams that the metal tension rods are supposed to go through was damaged, and looks like it was just patched back together at the factory. This resulted in the tension rod popping out of the seam, and generally making it more of a pain to put together. Speaking of putting together. It's gonna take you a while. I'm not super experienced setting up home theater type systems, but my roommate has experience setting up home theater systems. It took us about 6 hours to set it up and measure everything correctly. Then I had to spend basically an entire week occasionally adjusting and lowering the screen, and fiddling with the projector to get it looking ok. The build quality is ok, minus the damages. But assembling this thing requires manually tensioning out the screen, trying to make sure no ripples form in the material. This is an annoying, tedious, and long process that will eat away an entire Saturday. Honestly, if best buy would have let me, I would have just paid someone else to set up the screen for me. But that strangely isn't an option on these screens. Probably because they too know how much of a pain it would be. Finally the picture just wasn't that great. There were ripples on the screen that I just couldn't get out. The text looked slightly blurry on the screen. And there was a strange bend at the top of the screen. It just isn’t as crisp or sharp as the reviews I had watched led me to believe. The ambient light rejecting feature is nice, and the image came through pretty clear in the daytime. But the contrast quality, lack of color volume, and issues with black uniformity (It's not all equally black depending on the angle you are looking at, and the height that the screen is mounted at) made it extremely underwhelming. Especially, if you are coming from a more modern line of tv's, such as the Lg OLED series, Samsung q series (80 and up), or the Sony x series (80j and up). The trade off in terms of size to image quality just isn't worth it at the price point. Especially since you can get a slightly smaller (about 25% smaller) 86inch q90a and have an insanely better picture and easy or paid for installation for half the price Also, I'm not even going to bother trying to return this thing. It was absolute misery getting it out of the box, and I see no way that I would be able to ship it back. I was able to easily return the projector since I didn't buy it with a screen combo, so I'm just gonna eat the $650 loss on this screen, and chalk it up to a lesson learned about the home theater experience. Hopefully, this review will help inform your decision on purchasing this screen. If you are a home theater type person, I honestly recommend a more traditional long through set up, with a larger screen over this set up. My housemate would also like to add that he has a much more negative review than I do. Mainly because I had to conscript him into helping me set up the screen, and he claims it was more of a nightmare than I'm portraying.

Was great I. The beginning. The tension screen is wavy now. It is very distracting when trying to watch movies or tv. Not sure if I got a bad one or not, but it is very distracting.

Easy to put together. Looks beautiful on the wall. I Love it. Cheapest I found. You won’t regret it.
