Nice Cell Phone!!!
|Posted .It's a very fast and beautiful phone, it works as described. The only thing that I miss on this phone is a camera flash.

Good, bang for your buck
|Posted .This phone is a budget phone for entry level smartphone users and its great phone because of its price as it has so much to offer what other phones at same price can not. The battery may seem small on a paper but it really goes more than a day. So I keep this phone with me though i have a Galaxy s6 Edge because my S6 would not even make a day with all of my power use.

Great budget LTE phone!
|Posted .Purchased for $10 as Black Friday special. Running on Lollipop 5.1 out of the box. Without modification, it can only be used on the Verizon network, as intended. After doing some work on it, was able to get it working with H2O wireless SIM (AT&T network) with LTE speeds. Even if you don't want to activate it, if you pop a microSD card in, you can download your music and videos, and it can be used as an MP3 player, portable FM radio, GPS navigator (using offline navigation apps), etc. Screen is good, no lag with basic use ( high intensity games will likely lag), good signal strength. Call quality may not be the best because the mic is on the back. Battery life is good.No NFC. Don't not get it if you like to take photos or selfies. Low resolution front and back cameras. No flash. It's a budget camera, so corners needed to be cut. It's not fair to compare it to a S6, iPhone, G4, etc. If you're coming from a high end phone, you may not like it. But for the average non-gamer or child's first phone, you can't find better for the price. Also makes a great backup phone!

Good entry level phone
|Posted .Purchased this phone specifically to try Verizon service. I found the phone easy to set up and I like the size. I currently use a Nexus 5 as my primary phone, and I find the Nexus 5 is at the outside limit for my tastes in the size of a phone. The moto e is just about ¼ inch narrower, and a ½ inch shorter, which is about perfect for ease of use. If I wanted a tablet I would use a tablet…. The charger included with the phone is one piece and the cable is integral with the charger body (it can't be unplugged from the charger). You must have a separate Micro USB cable to connect to your computer. The screen quality is good and the 540 x 960 245 ppi pixel density is just fine. It is a nice bright screen, even with the screen brightness turned down to the lower end of the scale. I really don’t even notice much practical difference when compared to my Nexus 5. It does have a small “blue patch” about a ¼ inch in diameter, which can only be seen in dim light on a black screen. I am pretty sure this is a defect of some kind as the phone has never been dropped or mistreated. The 4g speeds with the Verizon service is plenty fast for me to watch a movie with no spooling except at the very beginning (which is normal). I especially like the FM radio included in the moto e and have used it extensively since I purchased it (Being only 8 GB there is not much room for music, unless you purchase a micro SD card.) The processor does everything I ask it to do with the 1 GB of RAM, and although I can tell it is slower than my Nexus 5 phone, it is not a deal-breaker by any means. The sound quality on calls is fine and I have had no trouble understanding callers. The included case was not high quality, and is not much of a case. In order to use it you must remove the band that protects the memory card and the SIM card, and replace it with the blue case made primarily of hard blue plastic. It seems that all it would protect is the back of the phone from scratches. I won't be using it, and will purchase a different case if deemed necessary. I am less impressed with Verizon’s pay-as-you go service. I specifically delayed purchasing a month’s worth of service, because I needed to use the phone for a few days at the first part of January. Instead of Verizon giving me 30 days of service for my month purchase, they decided to end the service on January 1 (It was purchased on December 3 when I purchased the month of service.) They also gave me a phone number that had not been kept out of circulation long enough, and I receive a fair number of texts and phone calls that have nothing to do with me. Although their regular customers have some good and what seem to be simple options to change their phone number, not so much for the prepaid customer. There are also Verizon supplied apps on the phone that I don’t use and don’t ever plan to use. I they could be removed, they would-but alas, it seems you cannot get rid of them….. I would recommend this phone to a friend who wanted to try the android ecosystem, or wanted to try out the whole smart-phone scene without having to make a big investment of money. It is a fine and useful secondary phone for me.

Simple Smart Phone
Posted .My Dad asked me for a smart phone so before getting him a serious one I wanted him to have training wheels. The price was right with a pre Black Friday special of $9.99 so I ordered and received it the next day. The Pros It arrived about 40% charged so I could turn it on and start getting it ready. It was easy to log into Google Play and load it up with some of my fave apps. Response is nice and the phone is lightweight. It connected to Wifi right away and stayed connected while watching a 50 minute live video stream. It fell twice when I put it into a selfie stick and doesn't even have a scratch! The Cons You will want to invest in a microSD card. I knew that going in but haven't popped one in yet. Don't expect to create great videos from this. I tested a Periscope and while people could hear me, the picture was awful and pixelated. I could even tell that from previewing it on my end. Overall as a wifi device for checking mail, playing games, listening to music, which is what I purchased it for, it is GREAT. For those who may be considering this as their main phone and expecting a wonderful camera/video experience, consider something else.

Amazing little phone at an amazing price
|Posted .After leaving the iPhone several models ago, I've consistently been a Samsung girl. I use two cell phones, and when my favorite little carry phone, the S3 mini started to act up, I decided to try the Moto E. How could I pass up a 4G LTE, quad core processor, Android 5.1 phone that only cost an amazing $10 on Black Friday??? This is the second generation Moto E folks, and that means one powerful little phone that zips with the best of them. My S3 was prepaid Verizon, and all I had to do was pop the existing SIM card in and viola! It worked! Note that the Moto E has a different size SIM card, and says not to insert a smaller card with the tray, but that's exactly what I did, and I have had no problems. This phone is a little chunkier than others, but if you can get past that, it is a great size for your pocket. The display is fabulously clear, the interface is intuitive, the clarity of sound is great, and it even sports an FM radio when you use your headphones to act as an antenna. Bluetooth works seamlessly, WIFI is strong, battery life is great, and I like that Verizon prepaid lets you use your phone for tethering. It also supports call forwarding, which I found to my dismay that Straight Talk operating on the Verizon network will not. What are the cons? The camera is not great, there is no flash, and Verizon packs a lot of bloatware. If you are a big NFL fan, you might not mind, but NFL mobile updates drove me crazy until I finally disabled them. There is not much memory, but you can add a 32 gb SD card, so that's not a hindrance. It comes with a useless cover that I couldn't fit onto the phone, but at this price point, who needs a cover? The phone is very sturdy and has already survived a few drops without a scratch. I've actually found it refreshing to use a different phone brand other than Samsung, because after you've had about five of them, they get a little predictable and boring. I'm giving this phone five stars not because it has every bell and whistle, but because for its price point...even off sale, it is hard to beat. Thanks for a great deal, Best Buy!

okay
|Posted .The product description on this page states that this phone has 1.5GB of RAM. This isn't true. It only has 900mb in total, including RAM being used by the system. It can't run certain features on some apps because of the lack of RAM. Still, it's a cheap phone, so if you need something on the fly like I did, not a terrible purchase.
