ViewSonic - 8" LCD Digital Photo Frame - White

Nice digital frame, just thought all that was needed was a USB to upload photos. U have to save to a memory stick then upload your photos. Not recommended to someone who's not computer savvy.

You get what you pay for! Next time would purchase one that has Internal Memory!

Pictures look great & I also like the clock & calendar feature, however it resets to pictures if power is lost.

This thing is DEAD and I mean as dead as a doornail. It was working fine one evening and the next day, zilch, nada, toast - no picture, no clock, no response, and the frame was barely 2 months old. The only bright side is Viewsonic was easy to contact and the rep was very responsive. Regardless, the issue of paying to ship this dog back to the company and then getting a refurbished unit remains. I would have at least expected the company to ship me a brand new unit (not sure how long a refurb is going to last when a brand new one bit the dust in such a short period of time). If you ever want to know the potential failure rate for a product, just look at the cost of the product and then the cost of a Best Buy replacement plan. I almost laughed when I saw the 3-year replacement plan for this $45 photo frame was $40 and then noticed that the 3-year replacement plan for the $200 monitor I am considering buying is $30. $10 more to "protect" an item that cost less than 1/4 as much? I'd say that's a huge red flag.

ViewSonic products are garbage. This digital photo frame lasted a whole 6 months before it just died. Looked great when it worked, but one day, it just stopped working. Granted it was on 8-10 hrs a day, but I don't think that's excessive for a photo frame. And if it was an isolated incident, I could chalk it up to just getting a lemon. HOWEVER, we puchased TWO of these (same model) within a month of each other and this one lasted 6 months, the other 7 months. BOTH just died without warning and neither was on 24/7 or anything or faced any sort of abuse or accidental damage. They just DIED. In addition, last year (prior to purchasing these two) we bought a different model ViewSonic frame (VFD621W-50) as a gift for someone. That one developed funny lines in the screen within a couple months and then it too died within a year. We didn't hear about it until it died and chalked it up to a lemon. ViewSonic used to make good products, but with THREE DEAD ViewSonic photo frames in the past year or so, we will NEVER BUY VIEWSONIC again. Just a waste of money. Pay a little more and get something that you won't have to replace in a few months. And yes, we used a surge protector on them, theywere on average of 6-10 hours a day (depending on the frame), were not dropped or damaged in any way and they were not touched by any pets or kids either. They all died between 5 and 11 months with normal usage, simply sitting on a shelf. THREE ViewSonic digital photo frames and not one lasted a single year from purchase. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PRODUCTS!

Product is very slim and light weight future are good

It's perfect for what I needed in my office. It looks great!
