I don't know where I got the idea that ViewSonic were "low end" monitors, perhaps it's the competitive price, but apparently they are a very reputable brand, and I'm very happy with mine so for. Bought this to replace my old 1600x900 monitor, and save my limited desk space from the other, larger 1080p monitors. I forgot the tighter pixel density would make smaller icons, but that's a small drawback, and the picture is very crisp. I have spent what seems like an excessive amount of time getting picture settings "just right," but I think that's just me getting used to a new picture after 10 years of familiarity on my old unit. The only drawback I would mention is that it feels a bit wobbly on the tall pedestal, especially with the rather stiff buttons. But while it does jiggle rather easily, it does not seem to be in any danger of actually tipping or coming off, so I don't think that deserves docking a star.

I've always been a fan of ViewSonic and was not dissappointed by these. Quality of visual is great and worked exactly as I had hoped. The only thing I was a little dissappointed with was the integrated speakers, they are not loud enough for some videos and definitely not loud enough for video conference calls.

While some found the integrated speakers to be inadequate, the overall positive feedback highlights the monitor's value for its price.
