    Villisca: Living with a Mystery
Filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle team to explore one of America's greatest unsolved mysteries in this documentary that combines authentic period photographs, detailed interviews, computer animation, and faithful reenactments to document the controversial Children's Day axe murders of 1912. It was a typical June evening in Villisca, Iowa, and as a nation sat reeling at the sinking of the Titanic, this sleepy Midwestern town was about to experience a horrifying shock. In the months that followed the community became divided over the potential guilt of a state Senator who was implicated in the crime, yet after dozens of lawsuits and three high profile trials it still remained unclear what exactly happened on that fateful day. While pondering the possibility that the Senator was guilty, filmmakers also explore the likelihood that the axe murders were related to similar homicides in various states across the Midwest, and perhaps the work of one of the country's first serial killers. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
