Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I Really like the remote I’ve had one for 10 years in my truck so I bought this one for my girlfriends car I bought the two way remote also and it’s rechargeable now instead of the one I have that takes batteries they said one charge would last three months I can barely get one charge to last a week. The installation at the Peoria store I was not happy with either I had made an appointment and they were almost 2 hours late getting the car in and when I got it back there is a trim piece still off of the car that I had to put back on myself other than that no problems I just got a new truck in May and now I’m hesitant about having one put on there

Awesome remote start But.... there is one problem
|Posted .The only reason why I'm giving this product 3 stars ... My only complaint is that the transmitter that comes with the product is hard to unlock your doors, plus you can't tell if your doors are locked or unlocked or weather or not the remote start activated from a distance. You only get one transmitter. To upgrade to a better transmitter. Because Viper knows you dont want to deal with that transmitter that comes with the product,Viper has ironicly placed said upgrade transmitters on the back of the box. I tried to deal with it the first week until a friend needed to move my car and couldn't unlock the doors to do so. So I purchased the viper 7654 transmitter which solved all problems I had at 1st. Which happens to be $ 180.00 at best buy. So I had to spend a $180.00 more dollars to fill satisfied.

Yes it’s NOT $300 if you want to use your cell phone to control it. $200for the remote control, $190 for the device to use with your cell phone, $110 for INSTALLATION . Yearly subscription!!

Great for any vehicle
|Posted .I absolutely love this alarm system keeps the intruders away. Barely touch the glass to the car and it chirps as a warning!! Overall the best also at 410 and ingram location best darn assosiate JAY!!! It is on our jeep.

- A:Answer If you download App to use 150 feet you don’t need to buy subscription you can start your car through your cell phone and download the app for free but if you want to you use this satellite like when you were traveling or anywhere in the world you need to buy

- A:Answer If you are using just the Bluetooth, no there is no extra charge. Just download the app and sign up. "Directed smart start" pair the phone to the DS4 unit and you're good to go.

Q: QuestionManual says DS4+ is compatible with D9857V/D9756V Viper RF Kit 5-button 2-way LED/LCD Rechargeable (Pg 16 manual). BestBuy only has 7856V/7857V 2-way LED 5-button. These two models are not listed as compatible with DS4+, so are they out of the question?

- A:Answer I purchased it with the 7857V upgrade, which IS listed on the box as compatible. It works great. I went with the upgrade both for the 2 way feature and the extended range. I have one caveat on the range. That combination is rated for 1 mile. Actual range is dependent on the circumstances - maximum range can only be achieved if you are outside and in line of sight to your car. I have no problem starting the car from inside my house, at church, or at the store. From the office is a different story. My office building is just a bit over 1/3 miles from the parking lot, with several other buildings between. I can't start the car from inside. By the time I walk about 1/4 block, I can start it. That's fine if I just need to take a bit of the chill or heat out of the car, since my Kia Soul heats and cools really quickly. However, it's not all that helpful in ice and snow. I'm considering adding the Smart Start module.
