Great enclosure
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed.They look nice !!! Keeps the sound its place and helps your speakers have longevity due to insulation. If you trying to keep the sound in its place and keeps from going Thu the walls or next floor above, this is it. Look at them, a little high but worth it

It did what it was meant to do but at a cost.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.The main reason why i got these were to limit the amount of sound that goes from the 1st floor to the second floor. While these did exactly that it also reduced the bass coming from the speaker. Just keep that in mind.

They seem to be made for Sonos in-ceiling speakers

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.So I took a chance and purchased these for my Sonos Architectural speakers, because Sonos and Sonance did not know if these enclosures would work(or they existed). And they worked like they were made for the Sonos in-ceiling speakers. Cheapest speaker enclosure you can find and they work great. They do add some height to the speaker, so keep that in mind if you clearance restrictions.

Great addition to a quality speaker
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.When I originally installed the Sonance speakers in my attic, I was concerned about the blown in insulation in the attic getting in the speaker cone area. This enclosure solved the problem and allowed placing the insulation around and over the speaker without worry. Well made, includes gasket and screws along with two sets of binding posts--I guess if you wanted to bi-amp for some reason. Creates a sealed enclosure that doesn't affect the sound. If you own the speakers, you should invest in these enclosures.

- A:Answer The enclosure does have a O-ring seal where it meets the speaker frame. The idea is more to reflect the sound wave - out front rather than have it dissipate behind in open air. These are premium series speakers, so some type of 'box' is needed behind to provide accurate sound projection. I wouldn't hesitate to mount them in a patio enclosure as long as not direct exposure to moisture and sunlight. I use mine for rear soundstage in my home theatre system. Extremely pleased with the sound

Q: QuestionHow are these enclosures installed, are they installed with the speaker as you are cutting the template, or do you need to go into the attic after you have installed it and place it on top from that end

They are installed on the back of the speaker before installation.
